About our Client - Our client is a leading global investment banking, securities and investment management firm providing a wide range of services worldwide to clients. Their client case is diversified including corporates, financial institutions, government and high net worth individuals. With a strong global presence they are looking at professionals in the product control space to be part of their team in Bangalore.

Job Description: Reporting to the Head-Product Control, your major responsibilities would be:

- Analyzing weekly P&L with detailed presentation to management directed towards position movements

- Monitoring and analyzing daily movements in positions in the respective books (credits, rates etc.) and understanding desk strategy for update to senior management

- Should be able to substantiate daily and monthly adjustments held in p&l and control accounts if any

- Continuous liaising with traders and discussions on breaks/abnormalities

- Market risk positions' and movements' commentaries to be discussed with internal stakeholders

- Month end closing of accounts and balance sheet sign off

- Working with junior staff to get them understand products, processes and controls that are in place and helping them move faster up the learning curve

- Implementing fair value hierarchy and other requirements of IAS 39 and FAS 133

The Successful Candidate:

- As an ideal candidate, you are an experienced finance professional with exposure to financial products, accounting and statutory reporting.

- You are CA/MBA with 6-12 years post qualification experience with considerable experience (3-7 years) in product control.

- Having a firm understanding of financial products such as equities, fixed income, FX, Treasury along with valuation control would be highly advantageous.

- You should also have good communication skills, a self-starter attitude and should have flexibility in working with stakeholders across different time zones.
