This position is with a leading indian conglomerate in the Consumer products/goods industry  The role is to lead the marketing function - Develop and execute marketing strategy for the organization with the objective of strengthening brands and ensure premiumization.  Manage the product portfolio and support new product development to increase overall business contribution of new products and designs  Financial - Own and drive the brand P&L  1. Support brand topline growth by designing and implementing brand growth plans  2. Monitor and deliver brand profitability targets by driving pricing and premiumization   3. Ensure higher business contribution of new products and designs   4. Control marketing expenses and ensure compliance within budgets   Customer Oriented: Managing the product portfolio and driving innovation  1. Define the portfolio strategy for each brand including target sub-categories and price points and size of portfolio   2. Aid in product development by providing market feedback on NPDs  3. Help drive success of new products   Brand Management:  1. Define Brand Architecture, Segmentation, Targeting, Positioning (STP), brand communication objectives and calendar and overall brand architecture  2. Define brand calendars and plans for the year  3. Drive Focus Brands as selected from time to time  4. Ensure marketing effectiveness through implementation of brand track and score improvements on periodic basis  Driving Research and Insighting   1. Driving market research and consumer insighting (Brand equity, U&A, brand tracks, portfolio market research) to help drive scientific decision making   Media Management  1. Define and execute media plan for each brand for the year within budget  2. Monitor effectiveness and make course corrections as required  Trade Marketing  1. Plan and execute BTL for the year by coordinating with vendors and sales team  2. Improve BTL Execution and procurement efficiency  3. Ensure proper maintenance of BTL assets (GSBs etc.)  4. Regular monitoring and reporting of the key metrics.  People Oriented   1. Manage the overall Marketing team to ensure overall effectiveness   2. Effectively manage relationships with all external suppliers (media, creative and research agencies etc.).  3. Effectively manage communication and collaborate with all internal stakeholders (sales, finance, operations and NPD teams)  4. Liaison with promoter management, especially ED Sales & Marketing, for guidance and alignment on approach  Internal Business: Process Drive effective governance and compliance for the marketing function  1. Ensure on-time and periodic marketing reviews with ED Sales & Marketing  2. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of marketing expenses  3. Comply with other internal requirements related to HR processes
