VP/AVP - InterCompany Reporting - Inv Bank

Hi,

We are hiring for an urgent opening with Global Investment Banking Firm for a very high end position like VP and AVP in Noida location. Kindly go through the JD below for the same:-

Description:-

Key Accountabilities & approximate time split-

(Ideally 4-10 points, or headings with sub-points. Quantify where possible e.g. cost/income budget, no of subordinates, likely no of yrs/months to complete longest task. Could note key external/internal lateral relationships)

- Ownership of the intercompany reporting process for an allocated business area (eg. Fixed Income or Equities)

- Reconciliations production for complex relationships (for instance derivatives reconciliations)

- Management of item at risks for relevant area in line with senior management’s expectations

- Review of intercompany schedules to be included in Letter of Representation meeting

- Review of Financial Statement Line Items and Quality Assurance Review reconciliations for reporting periods

- Support tactical and strategic intercompany related projects

- Drive resolution of mismatches root causes through engagement with colleagues in Finance, Operations and Front Office

- Contribute towards building a client service and controls driven culture in the team. Actively encourage innovative thinking and nurture ideas directed towards problem-solving and efficiencies

Qualification:-

- Qualified Accountant – CA, CPA, ACCA or MBA (PG is Must)

- Strong academic background – 1st /2nd class honors, minimum bachelor degree from a reputable institution

- Good knowledge of IFRS and financial products, strong understanding of front-to-back process flow

Experience

- 8 to 16 years post qualification experience

- Proven track record in managing teams.

Preferred

- Investment banking experience or first/second tier accounting firms.

- Must be regarded as proactive and assertive in driving control improvement for their area

- Strong control awareness - in particular, the individual should be able to identify initiatives which they have led which has directly improved the control environment for the area they work in

- Strong understanding and has the mindset to strive to identify potential control breakdowns in process, also demonstrated with effective procedure manuals

- Ability to streamline processes in a most efficient manner within the team

- Able to perform good analysis, resolve problems and initiate workable innovative recommendations and solutions to take the function forward to achieve better performance efficiencies

Commercial Effectiveness

- Strong knowledge of the intercompany reporting process

- Strong accounting and product knowledge.

- General familiarity with IFRS and broad understanding of regulatory Customer focused – consistently meets internal client needs within constraints of time, resources and budget

- Clear understanding of impact of accounting transactions on financial statements.

- Consistently delivers against targets

- Has good understanding and is up to date on relevant business knowledge.

- Opportunity to be groomed to be future leaders, where there will be expanded remit for future growth

- Able to persuade, direct and influence senior stakeholders to get buy-in for decisions and proposed changes or recommendations

- Provide analysis and resolutions to complex issues and proposed innovative recommendations and solutions to team members for implementations

- Good presentation skills and able to confidently present to senior stakeholders for consideration.
