One of our clients, a UK based reputed organisation is looking for a Finance Head, based in Mumbai, to oversee their Indian operations.

Job Description

Vice President / Assistant Vice President Finance (India): (This role will run the accounts team of the UK firm in India)

UK GAAP / UK ACCOUNTING PROCESS IS A MUST

- Qualified accountant

- Audit background would be an advantage

- 7 years+ experience in finance

- 2 years+ experience of running a team

- Advance excel skills (excel formula structuring, VBA, Macros)

- Excellent communications skills

- Experience of UK GAAP / UK Process such as payroll, Sales ledger, Purchase and all general accounting functions

- Experience of bespoke report writing

- Generation of management accounts and reporting on contractual and divisional profitability

- Generation of ad-hoc information

- Assisting the UK Head of Finance and the CFO (FD) as necessary

- To oversee and develop the Indian office accounting function

- To assist the UK Head of Finance and CFO (FD) in ensuring that all internal and external financial reporting is made in accordance with approved time scales. In particular:

a) Budgeting and forecasting

b) Monthly management accounts

c) Statutory accounts and Audit

d) VAT returns

e) Corporation Tax computations

f) Indian company accounting, as necessary

g) Integration of planned acquisitions
