An extremely large and highly reputed Indian Multinational having its headquarters in Kolkata and manufacturing operations in several Indian states and in 2 other continents has entrusted us with the selection of the Vice President – Accounts & Finance for their world-wide operations.

In line with the Group’s philosophy of recruiting only the best talent available in the country the person we are looking for must be intellectually outstanding and be a knowledge-based leader in the area of Accounting and Controlling with 20+ years post-qualification experience in Industry. The company operates in the Metals space and has Manufacturing facilities in ASEAN, Gulf and Europe, apart from India.

Broad Responsibilities:

- Upgradation of Accounting and Financial procedures and Systems and designing and implementing controls for smooth and cost efficient running of the organization.

- Lead the monthly/quarterly financial closing and reporting, following the requirements of each country and provide critical analysis and actions on the performance of the Business.

- These include yearly, annual and rolling Financial Planning, Forecast and analysis and timely reporting and action on variances.

- Lead in design and implementation internal control process/policy to ensure a sound internal control environment, work with Internal Auditors to address any control deficiencies. Support key business initiatives, prepare business / financial analysis and discuss business opportunities, support in finalizing commercial negotiations, agreements, etc.

- Ensure timely and efficient credit administration through credit team and manage business cash flow and related activities.

- Ensure plant accounting and its timely financial closing, cost management and statutory reporting as per local laws.

- Forex Management, Treasury Operations – LCs and BGs and negotiations with Banks for funding and exposure limits.

- Work with External Auditors (one of the Big 4) for statutory reporting including relevant requirement of public company and its audit/ tax compliance.

The position is based in the company’s head office in Calcutta.

Education : Chartered Accountant

- Candidates from large Manufacturing, Engineering, Metal, Mining, Power, Automobile, Chemical Industries are welcome. Preference will be given to person who has experience of dealing with international subsidiaries.

- Remuneration and perks will range between Rs 65 and 85 lacs per annum.
