Volvo - Senior Data Analyst

Minimum Years of Experience Required

- 6-9 Years with hands-on experience as a Data Analysis, Statistical model building in Mandatory Skillsets.

Core Responsibilities :

- Perform detailed data analysis and set strategic test direction

- Execute day-to-day test result reporting and test design/setup

- Use analytical skills to extract business insight from the data and make recommendations

- Translate data into a concise, logical, and digestible format for internal and client-facing interactions

- Become proficient in optimization and analytics tools

- Effectively manage multiple tests and analysis spanning several projects

Required Competencies

Mandatory Technical Skills :

- Bachelor's degree/Master s Degree (Computer Science/Information Science) with experience working on common data science toolkits, such as R, Python etc. is a must

- Ability to use Python or R for machine learning techniques and algorithms, such as kNN, SVM, Decision Forests, K-Means etc.

- Experience in applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, regression, etc.

- Hands on experience in Model Building and Data mining using state-of-the-art methods

- Enhancing data collection procedures to include information that is relevant for building analytic systems

- Processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of data used for analysis

- Doing the ad-hoc analysis and presenting results in a clear manner

- Curious and inquisitive, strong interest in diving deep on analyses

- Good to Have Technical Skills :

- Hands On experience with prime Python libraries and packages like Pandas, Scikit-Learn, MatplotLib, etc.

- Experience working with BI tools (Qlik Sense, Qlik View, etc.)

- Proficiency in using ML-lib in Apache Spark

- Experience in using query languages such as SQL, Oracle, MySQL, etc.

- Education in engineering or other quantitative disciplines such as computer science, math, economics, statistics
