BROAD DESCRIPTION:-
- An employee responsible for managing a group of squads with a common purpose and achieving the Tribe's business goal
- Responsible for the Tribe's key performance indicators depending on its tasks (such as P&L, NPS, market share, systems availability, incidents),etc.)
DEDICATION:-
The tribe lead is 100% dedicated to the management of the tribe and to achieve its strategic objectives
COORDINATION WITH OTHER ROLES:-
- Participate in the QBR, where he/ she coordinates work with the different POs of his tribe
- Interact with tech lead to make all the technological decisions of the tribe
RESPONSIBILITIES & MANAGING THE SQUADS:-
- Define vision for markets and present it to the Tribe, make product lifecycle decisions
- Define and enforce quality standards (non-functional requirements)
- Interact with tech lead to understand the key properties and changes to technology infra way to work with tech restrictions
- Validate implementation solutions, define acceptance criteria
PLANNING AND PRIORITIZING THE WORK:-
- Shape the Tribe backlog: define and prioritize streams and epics for the Tribe
- Manage the Tribe budget
- Synchronize the product vision with Product Owners in Squads
- Quarterly business planning for the Tribe, preparing a Quarterly Business Review
- Set goals during release planning
- Design and maintain the products roadmap
- Manage expectations of all stakeholders
CONTRIBUTING TO PERSONNEL MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT:-
- Lead the formulation of the Tribe and Squads mission and goals
- Create an atmosphere of confidence and trust in the Tribe and motivate to fulfil Tribe's task
- Make proposals on the Tribe's composition and headcount
- Act as PO Chapter Leader
