Vodafone Idea - Vice President - IT Solution Delivery Lead

Job Purpose :

Concerned person is expected to oversee the co-ordination, administration & overall governance of all on-going development activities for all applications in the area of Sales & Distribution, Contact Center technologies and traditional Self-service channels. He will also be responsible for implementing strategic initiatives in the respective along with its integration with VIL IT landscape

The Portfolio Head will lead program execution team with a vision of holistic future fit solution along with high level of engagement with multiple stake holders.

KRA :

1. Business Engagement

- Key business decision making along with HODs in relevant functional areas.

- Business problem solving and process improvement through various interactions.

2. Governance

- Put in place Governance mechanism for various programs with TCS, IBM, other partners and VIL Stakeholders.

3. Program Delivery

- Provide guidance in short listing right-fit (First time right) solutions to meet specific business requirements.

- Review progress with internal plus external program executives and give directions to the team to ensure overall control of program execution.

- Define B2O parameters and Release Management strategies in consultation with relevant internal stake holders for each program.

- Manage 1500+ person months of efforts annually while optimizing delivery methodologies right from estimation (FPA to Hybrid) to deployment (Water Fall, Agile etc.) to get to a right-fit delivery model.

- Plan and move to DevOps model and adopt to open source environment basis the guidelines by the TSA team.

- Work with the implementation partners to create and validate the architectural, technical and infrastructure design through rigorous evaluation process

4. Stakeholder Management

- Collaborate and communicate with program executives and partners at different stages of the program.

- Ensure right participation and appropriate business ownership at program executive level.

5. People Development

- Training and competency development.

- Identify opportunity for career progression.

- Continued level of engagement for consistently motivating team environment.

Core Competencies :

1. Expert in defining setting strategy and plan for the team and organization to deliver solution through vendors with good negotiation skills and apt internal and external team management

2. Headed IT Program delivery in Telecom domain with multiple partners and multiple applications which is a hybrid of home grown and COTS products with a vision of automation and optimization to improve time to market and cost reduction along with understanding of trending technologies

3. Experience in executing IT transitions and transformations along with expectation management of internal and external stakeholders

4. Knowledge of Self-Care channels, Sales, Distribution and Retail domain with ability to think independently to analyze, manage ambiguity and solve problems

5. Understanding of overall technical and functional aspects of the BSS and OSS stack of telecom technology landscape

Must Have's :

- Engineering and Management background with extensive exposure to Telecom IT and business support and hands on experience in IT delivery around 15-20 years

- Thorough know-how of latest in the technology delivery processes and tools around PMP, Agile, DevOps etc. with certification preferably

- Excellent soft skills around team management, partner management, written and oral communication skills
