Finance Governance - New Products & In Life Cycle

Role purpose :

The finance governance resource shall be responsible and accountable for overall governance activities of Vodafone Business services. The role will extensively involve very detailed level revenues and cost reviews under each product category, contract reviews and review of delegation of authority in various circles and corporate functions

Key accountabilities and decision ownership :

- Regular reviews of revenue generation to booking cycle and capturing cases of abnormal trends for investigations and getting it resolved through various functions involved in the process chain.

- Regular reviews of direct cost and linking cost with revenues in case of abnormal trends and getting it resolved through various functions in process chain

- Reviews of customer contracts and clauses impacting the revenues, cost and the customer and regularizing the clauses.

- Reviews of Delegation of authority at circle and corporate functions and drawing the deviations list and get it ironed out by appropriate actions

- Reviews of Revenue assurance on the activities done for the business unit and compliance report.

Core competencies, knowledge and experience :

- Strong understanding of revenue/cost chain blended with the knowledge of systems and processes involved in overall revenue and cost delivery.

- Analytical, knowledge and experience with respect to telecom / IT products

- Strong data mining capabilities with working level knowledge of various tools with excellent analytical skill set

- Experience in Finance decision support/Revenue Assurance or Marketing function involving a very detail revenue and cost analysis

- Ability to understand the role of revenue assurance and to identify improvement areas

Key performance indicators :

- Resolution of identified gaps in revenues and cost

- Resolution of non-compliance in Delegation of authority

- Regularizing the contract terms

- Revenue and cost savings due to new initiatives/ methods developed and run by RA

Must have technical / professional qualifications :

- B.Com with and added qualification of MBA- Finance/Business Management/Marketing (Graduation:Essential, Post Graduation: Desired)

- Must have at-least 5 years of prior overall experience in which minimum 2 years of experience must be in governance areas of revenue and cost reviews.
