Finance Controller - Accounts

In this role, you would

- Visualize and lay down the financial controls in the organization

- Oversee all aspects of finance and compliances related to accounts and finance

- Manage a high-pressure work environment, responding to the needs of a fast growing business with a complex balance sheet consisting of vanilla and structured finance instruments

- Always be on the cutting edge of developments in financial regulation and disseminate to the wider organisation

- Develop and fine tune standard operating procedures all key accounting functions and related compliances

- Develop comprehensive checklists and dashboards to ensure no lapse in financial controls

- Have an eye for cost control and bring cost discipline to the organization without being stingy

- Build and manage an ambitious, dedicated and highly responsive team

- Manage the transition of the organization from IGAAP to IndAs

- Maintain quality reconciliations to give a sense on impact due to reporting changes to all the key stakeholders

- Consistently evaluate technical quality of own team as well as other business heads / team members and make changes as necessary

- Manage internal and statutory audits seamlessly on agreed timelines

- Translate key controls into systems using cutting edge technical solutions like Oracle, FIS, Credence etc.

- Communicate effectively and unambiguously with all internal and external stakeholders

- Develop networks with key audit firms ensuring the best advice, building enforcement capabilities, as well as ensure the best economics. Work in a collaborative manner to benefit from the collective wisdom and deal experience of the market, while retaining own discretion

The ideal candidate would :

- Have 10+ years of experience in audit teams of Big 4 or GT/Large NBFCs/Banks Accounts team

- Has solid accounting and business grasp of financial services and the key drivers of financial performance

- Has conceptual understanding of structured finance instruments

- Be strong on IndAs

- Be able to adapt to end to end functioning on accounting and treasury related ERP software

- Have impeccable integrity, ability to maintain strict confidentiality

- Present / articulate / position an idea compellingly, especially to counterparties in various audits - Stat, Internal, Taxman, RBI, SEBI and so on

- Be as ambitious as we are, and hence willing to travel, go out of her / his way to build at the highest quality, burn the midnight oil to meet goals and deadlines

- Have managed a team for at least 3 years
