Vistaprint - Lead/Senior Manager - Category/Merchandiser

Reporting to the Chief Marketing Officer of Vistaprint India, based in the Mumbai office, you will be responsible for New product introduction and Product Category expansion (both width & depth) as primary KRAs.

You will also capture customer feedback on product, and work towards continuous improvement of Product Quality Scores.

As Lead Merchandiser for Vistaprint India, you will be responsible for

Identify new categories, products, brands and vendors, with an aim of continuous improvement in the Category width and depth on the website, thereby increasing consumer choice.

Contributes in development of range architecture based on consumer segment insights, regional requirements, marketplace knowledge, and competitive data

Provide timely information on consumer insights and sale rates to internal teams as required

Ensure product lines are as per the seasonality and market trends

Timely delivery of product samples to demonstrate ideas / concepts to assist in decision making on marketing side.

Sourcing new suppliers to ensure product portfolio is developed in a cost effective manner as per Marketing teams requirement

Negotiation on all supplier rates to ensure the best possible price and in line with budget, while maintaining quality and consistency of the products at optimum levels shortlisted.

Negotiate favorable lead times with suppliers for identified products

Work closely with the supply chain team ensuring regular market trends are shared for accurate stock level planning. Any out-of-trend product will have to be communicated well in advance for minimizing relevant stock levels

Comprehensive understanding and implementation of legal requirements involved in contractual agreements.

Own Visual Merchandising and take responsibility of Web store Management

Work with Technology or contract vendor platforms to obtain new tools for effective merchandising and customer engagement

Work with Catalog team to create style filters and style guide, size guide etc.

The ideal candidate is expected to have 7-9 years of merchandising experience for leading brands / companies having managed complex sourcing portfolios and products. Specifically s/he will have:

Experience in buying or working with manufacturers / brands / retailers from apparel background

Experience in managing and negotiating with vendors across category

Experienced merchandiser/manager from leading brands or Offline retailers

Strong problem solving skills

Ability to work well with others at varying organizational levels

Adaptable and collaborative working style that is comfortable within a high energy, action oriented culture

Delivery focused with strong problem solving and organizational skills - ability to manage multiple tasks

Understand and Comply with Information Security Policies and Procedures, and report all security incidents.
