Visionet Systems - Director - Cloud Operations

Responsibilities:

- Participate on a team designing, building and/or testing infrastructure and cloud infrastructure focused solutions

- Develop and deliver strategies and solutions for enterprise infrastructure operations.

- Thoroughly document all facets of infrastructure solutions.

- Apply Visionet methodology, Visionet reusable assets, and previous work experience to delivery consistently high-quality work.

- Stay educated on new and emerging market offerings that may be of interest to our clients.

- Adapt to existing methods and procedures to create possible alternative solutions to moderately complex problems.

- Understand the strategic direction set by management as it relates to team goals.

- Lead and develop a globally distributed team of engineers

- Drive cloud native application architecture and patterns to enable application migration to cloud platforms

- Manage expectations for all related stakeholders of the projects including product management, executives, sales, marketing, etc.

- Drive next generation cloud adoption strategy and execution

Requirements:

- 10+ years of technical and/or management consulting experience architecting enterprise and application solutions

- Extensive client account and project management experience with demonstrated ability to plan and manage the execution of custom development projects and complex client engagements

- Current or recent leadership of multiple internal and external teams

- Experience in cloud computing-based services architecture, technical design and implementations including Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Software as a Service (SaaS) delivery models

- Knowledge of key AWS/Azure best practices including Cloud Adoption Framework, Well Architected Framework, Security by Design

- Strong Knowledge of Data Center Concepts, design and architecture methodologies, Data Storage

- Core Workplace Services (AD, DNS, DHCP, File Services, Print Services)

- Patch Management (SCCM, Lambda, SSM)

- Infrastructure (Server, Storage, and Database) discovery, design, build, and migration experience

- Knowledge of cloud/virtualization technologies, such as VMware, Hyper-V etc

- Experience migrating IT infrastructure into a cloud environment.

- Experience in cloud native application patterns and tools, microservice architectures, application migrations to any cloud platform

- Understanding of Kubernetes, Container Orchestrations, Docker, and Cloud Native applications

- Excellent understanding of Infrastructure, Virtualization, Containers, Network, Storage, monitoring tools, Logging analytic tools (Splunk, etc.)

- Experience with Application Performance Management tools (New Relic, App Dynamics, etc.)

- Real passion for and excellent understanding of Continuous Integration and

- Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) tools and processes (Example: Jenkins, Ansible, etc.)

- Deep understanding of Agile principles and processes

- Experience architecting and administrating big data platforms would be ideal

- Experience in designing, implementation and supporting Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and D365

- IT Service Management (ITSM) solutions delivery

- Experience in building high performing Engineering teams
