About The Role : As Head of School at MIT Pune's Viswashanti Gurukul, you will be a member of the Senior Administration Team Some of the key tasks undertaken by the head of the School in collaboration with the Senior Administration team are: Leadership &amp; Strategy - Negotiate and influence strategic decision making within the school's Senior Management/Leadership Team - Plan and manage change in accordance with the school development/strategic plan. - To lead and manage all school support staff - Implement and monitor school review and accreditation processes. - Contribute to the development and implementation of Strategic Planning including the Annual Implementation Plan, School Budget, utilizing whole school data to develop strategic responses and inform school decision making. - Manage the school's Annual Performance Development Plan process for all staff members. - Lead the development and maintenance of strategic partnerships and strengthen community networks beneficial to our students. Admissions and Revenue growth : - Generate leads - You must fix a target of leads per school per month and must ensure it's done via marketing channels at play. - Convert leads to walk-ins - You need to assign someone or maybe this is distributed across all Principals and look at reports of this every day/week. You need to motivate this team by doing some calls yourself and helping them close. You need to push this team to meet the conversion targets. You need to ensure the team is always charged up to win. - Convert walk-ins to admission - For this you need to focus on (1) School experience (2) Counselling (3) Follow up (4) Management of the process.Overall Walk in to conversion operations. - Generate Referral Walk-ins: Ensuring engagement to drive referrals. Doing good regular parent engagement events every month (these activities need to be fun and engaging), doing good PTM's every month (these activities are educational), ensuring the principal has a high level of engagement with her parents, driving referral walk-ins. - Generate direct walk-ins - For this you must ensure (i) a certain amount of marketing is done every month (ii) the location is attractive for parents to walk in. - Set appropriate Fees - need to set fees at the right level so as to maximize this equation, in cases that may mean we charge the highest fees in a market as we have a premium product, in cases, it may mean running a discount in a price-sensitive catchment market. Financial Resource Management : - Discuss, negotiate and agree on the final budget for the schools - Use the agreed budget to actively monitor and control performance to achieve value for money - Identify and inform the Management of the causes of significant variance and take prompt corrective action - Propose revisions to the budget if necessary, in response to significant or unforeseen developments - Maintain a strategic financial plan that will indicate the trends and requirements of the school development plan and will forecast future year budgets Facility &amp; Property Management : - Ensure the supervision of relevant planning and construction processes is undertaken in line with contractual obligations - Ensure the safe maintenance and security operation of all school premises - Manage the maintenance of the school site including the purchase and repair of all furniture and fittings - Ensure the continuing availability of utilities, site services, and equipment - Monitor, assess, and review contractual obligations for outsourced school services - Ensure a safe environment for the stakeholders of the school to provide a secure environment in which due learning processes can be provided - Ensure ancillary services e.g. catering, cleaning, etc., are monitored and managed Effectively Administration Management : - Manage the whole school administrative function and lead all support staff. - Design and maintain administrative systems that deliver outcomes based on the school's aims and goals - Manage systems and link processes that interact across the school to form complete systems - Define responsibilities, information, and support for staff and other stakeholders - Develop process measures that are affordable and that will enable value for money decisions for those managing resources - Establish and use effective methods to review and improve administrative systems - Use data analysis, evaluation, and reporting systems to maximum effect by ensuring systems are streamlined to maximize efficiency and avoid duplication - Benchmark systems and information to assess trends and make appropriate recommendations
