Vice President - US Taxation & Investments - Global Private Equity Firm

As a VP - US Taxation & Investments, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the long-term sustainability of the firm's wealth and should have a strong understanding of US taxation laws.

What you will need to do:

US Taxation Expertise:

- Implementing financial controls and risk management practices to supervise the tax considerations for the firm's assets.

- Providing expert guidance on US taxation laws as they pertain to the family's cross-border investments.

- Collaborating with tax professionals and legal advisors to optimize tax efficiency and compliance.

- Stay updated on evolving US tax regulations and their impact on the family's financial strategies.

- Developing and managing the fund office's budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve strategic goals.

Strategic Leadership:

- Developing and executing the fund office's long-term investment strategy in alignment with the family's financial goals.

- Providing visionary leadership to drive innovation and adapt to changing market conditions.

- Act as the primary liaison between the family and the fund office, ensuring clear communication and alignment of objectives.

Investment Oversight:

- Overseeing the fund office's portfolio management, asset allocation, and risk management strategies.

- Continuously evaluate and optimize investment opportunities, asset classes, and diversification strategies.

- Monitoring performance metrics and financial reporting to ensure objectives are met.

Team Management:

- Recruiting, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of investment professionals and support staff.

- Fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and accountability within the organization.

- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards, especially US taxation laws.

Client Relations:

- Cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with the family office and serve as a trusted advisor on financial matters.

- Acting as the face of the fund office, representing the family's interests to external stakeholders, including investment partners and advisors.

What you need to have:

- Ideally a CA with a strong background in finance, business, or a related field. CFAs or an MBA can be considered if the candidate comes with a very strong profile in line with the JD.

- An experience of 8-15 years with leading global consulting firms in similar functions/domains is desirable for this position.

- Key Attributes:

- Proven experience in a leadership role within wealth management, asset management, or a related field.

- Extensive knowledge of US taxation laws and their application to international investments is mandatory.

- A strong track record of successfully managing substantial assets and delivering consistent returns.

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with high-net-worth clients and stakeholders.

- In-depth knowledge of financial markets, regulations, and compliance standards.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.

- The ability to network with clients and internal team members in India and the US, etc., is vital.
