Someone from Banking industry is preferable. The VP of Treasury will manage Group Treasury and is responsible for developing and managing strategies, operations and policies related to the treasury function in close consultation with the Group CFO, MD, SSC and other key stakeholders in the organisation. Responsibilities will broadly cover cash and liquidity management, capital structure optimization including financing alternatives, financial risk and insurance management and bank relationship management RESPONSIBILITIES : Governance and management : - Optimize treasury operating model and organizational structure - Develop and implement Treasury roadmap to move Treasury to best practice - Establish, maintain and ensure compliance of policies and procedures for all core functions with a strong internal controls focus - Drive continuous improvement and efficiencies across Treasury - Team Management & Mentoring - Ensuring governance protocols with the Shared Services centre to maintain centralised and accurate reporting of bank accounts - Maintaining real time visibility of funds Cash and liquidity management : - Manage group liquidity, ensuring sufficient liquidity as and when needed and in the currency needed - Support Global group companies in cash and liquidity management - Direct cash forecasting activities, including the preparation of short term cash flow forecasts and frequent cash management reporting as per the SOP - Responsible for financial models and forecasting as it relates to long term liquidity/cash with the assistance of the FPA teams Capital structure optimisation : - Work with the CFO to assess global capital structure and optimisation for the group - Identify and recommend financing alternatives to support project and operational needs including working capital optimization - Debt covenant compliance and reporting - Responsible for intercompany capital structure in conjunction with tax - Responsible for intercompany financing program, process and policy to ensure subsidiaries invest with and borrow from intercompany whenever possible Financial Risk and insurance management : - Financial risk management including foreign currency hedging, interest rate risk management and hedge accounting - Establish appropriate insurance risk management strategy and lead global insurance programs Bank Relationship management : - Establish and maintain local and global banking relationships - Oversee relationships with cash management banking partners to ensure smooth operation of cash management activities - Optimise banking portfolio to ensure capability to meet business needs at the right cost Investments : - Ensure investment of surplus cash for India based entities in line with the board approved investment policy - Ensure investment of in-house PF fund in consultation with investment advisors - Work on investment opportunities of surplus foreign exchange Foreign exchange : - Overall charge of the foreign exchange dealing room back office - Manage exchange risk pertaining to Treasury operations Other : - Support M&A activities via contract review, terms negotiation, determining financial strategy and settlement - Ad hoc financial analysis, evaluates data, develops financial plans, and presents solutions to problems for which there is no established approach - In charge of dealing with rating agencies to ensure that the periodical rating exercises happen smoothly and efficiently - In charge of Finance cost optimisation REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS : - Chartered Accountant preferable OR MBA in Finance - Minimum of 16 years of experience in treasury management, cash management and accounting with a global, multinational company ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS : - Excellent communication skills - Should be able to facilitate discussions with senior leadership - Ability to work in a fast paced environment - Should be able to multi-task with proven follow-through and adherence to changing priorities and deadlines - Excellent negotiation skills - Functional expertise
