VP Transformation: British Multinational Universal Bank


Introduction:

- The VP- Transformation role is pivotal for shaping the agenda and supporting the execution of strategic themes and priorities, to facilitate the long-term strategic build out and transformation of the overall organisation. Our mandate comes from Group COO ExCo, global Functional leadership and co-CEOs.


- The role holder will collaborate and liaise extensively, Operations, and Functions leadership (MD/D level), Transformation Program Director, Transaction Cycle (TC) leads and other senior global stakeholders to identify, anchor, and execute specific initiatives, provide support for strategic interventions, and program manage transformation programs.


- The role holder would also need to provide on-demand advisory support to the co-CEOs on various activities and will lead/support specific initiatives led by the HR, Corporate Communications and Services Marketing teams etc.


- This will entail multi-tasking and juggling of multiple deadlines and priorities, complex stakeholder management in India and globally, and working closely with senior leadership in India to facilitate transformation and achievement of strategic priorities.

What will you be doing?

1. Identify, shape, and anchor specific programs, aligned to short and long-term strategic priorities, working with cross-business and cross-functional stakeholders

2. Assist with the design of key transformation programs and support formulation of business plans and business cases for change, by using analytical and data-driven approaches to business and organisational issue analysis and delivering an assessment of current state and a roadmap for the future.

3. Provide on-demand decision and advisory support to the co-CEOs and Ex Co leaders.

4. Support execution and change management of various initiatives by program managing strategic priorities and monitor and facilitate closure of key actions; effectively manage all dependencies and critical path items, and mitigate risks, to deliver programs as per plan, budget, and with high quality

5. Provide effective governance, dashboards, reporting and internal communication updates on various program management aspects to senior leadership

6. Serve as an advocate of BX India transformation agenda; percolate, share and build support for the transformation agenda across the wider BX India

What we're looking for:

1. Self-starter with the drive and ownership to manage end-to-end execution of strategic programs

2. Ability to work across multiple initiatives at the same time and deliver value across the board

3. Proven ability to work under pressure and manage tight timelines, whilst also being able to manage longer term deliverables, demonstrating ability to be both flexible and proactive.

4. Role will require ability to leverage other teams to meet key objectives and therefore critical to have the skills to 'deliver through others'

5. Strong team player: someone who will make a contribution to areas outside their remit and can appreciate the bigger picture.

1. Problem Solving and Business Knowledge:

- Manage ambiguity and develop structured, well thought out hypotheses, break down complex problems into manageable components and solve in a systematic, consistent, and logical way

- Fluency using our preferred analytical and communication tools: PowerPoint, Excel, Word etc. with outstanding written and verbal communication to be able to deliver exemplary client-ready output, confidently, accurately and in a timely manner

- Provide thought leadership to define and drive value-added activities to key themes

2. Project Delivery:

- Lead day to day execution of projects, interface independently with stakeholders to generate ideas and solutions; foster a collaborative spirit, while contributing to team output

- Structuring end-to-end analyses with clear messaging, generating commercial insights and data-driven solutions, delivering client-ready deliverables with logical flow, which is high quality and timely, and with strong attention to detail

- Effective program management skills including the ability to manage multiple dependencies and critical path items, proactive risk identification, and issue resolution

3. Stakeholder Management:

- Demonstrated ability to manage and influence leaders and senior stakeholders; build and maintain strong working relationships with stakeholders across businesses and functions; proactively managing expectations, conflicts, issues, and risks

- Ability to manage challenging and conflicting priorities across various leaders and help align them towards strategic goals, to deliver win-win situations and drive positive outcomes

Skills that will help you in the role:

1. Postgraduate, with an MBA Degree from top tier institutions

2. An ideal candidate should have broad level of Business Transformation experience and skill sets; experience in Banking organizations desirable

3. 6-10 years of relevant experience in either:

Leading Management Consulting Firms (Deloitte, Accenture, EY) driving delivery of organization-wide transformation initiatives
