Vice President - Technical Accounting - BFSI

Our client is a global bank and financial services with operations across the globe. As part of global finance, they are actively seeking an experienced individual to be part of Technical Accounting team. This is newly created opportunity within Global Finance team to help take the organisation to the next level of support services.

Some of the key responsibilities will include:

- Drafting Accounting policies and Memos as per IFRS and US GAAP

- Prepare and advise on accounting policies in compliance of IFRS/ US GAAP including areas which were impacted by the applicable new US GAAP/IFRS standards.

- Provide advisory on complex accounting issues and implementing process improvements.

- Support on various advisory projects which includes assistance on critical issues arising from changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, implementation of newly issued US GAAP as well as assessment of transactions under complex accounting standards.

- Providing strategic support to business leaders.

To be eligible for this role you will require:

- Qualified Accountant - CA, CPA, ACCA OR MBA (Finance)

- At least 10+ years of post-qualification experience in a Technical Accounting, or similar environment.

- Strong knowledge and understanding of US GAAP / IFRS Accounting and Reporting frameworks.

- Experience in Technical Accounting is a must.

- Strong inter-personal skills and evidence of working across teams and geographies to produce timely and accurate output.
