Vice President- Strategy, Global Markets - Investment Banking - Mumbai (8+ Years)

Seeking a VP Strategy with 8-12 years of expertise in Investment Banking products, including Derivative Market, Capital Market, Financial Markets, Fixed Income, and Equity, for benchmarking analysis. Responsibilities include benchmarking analysis, creating performance models, conducting data, statistical analysis, providing customized analyses and estimate direction of revenues.

The role involves maintaining sector databases, assisting with research, and managing projects. Regular client communication ensures alignment with their needs. Clear presentation of findings and handling special requests are essential.

Responsibilities:

- Developing and maintaining detailed models to assess specific performance metrics at the product level within investment banking, such as revenue, costs, and risk-weighted assets, while also estimating market sizes for various banking products.

- Understanding and explaining why the market for investment banking is changing and how it is affecting revenue.

- Using the right methods to organize and understand data, including financial data analysis and statistics analysis.

- Predicting how changes in the economy are impacting investment banking performance.

- Establish models correlating macroeconomic indicators with performance metrics in investment banking to generate forecasts and estimates for KPIs.

- Continuously update and refine models based on qualitative and quantitative insights from industry contacts within the investment banking sector.

- Building and maintaining databases for specific sectors within investment banking.

- Customizing analyses to support important decisions and communications within the bank.

- Finding and gathering information from various sources, like online databases and researchers.

- Helping clients and colleagues refine their research questions and managing multiple projects.

- Talking to clients regularly to ensure research meets their needs.

Requirements:

- MBA or postgraduate degree in business management, statistics, economics, or related fields.

- Professional certifications such as CFA, FRM, or CAIA are advantageous.

- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.

- Deep understanding of global capital markets products and financial instruments.

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with fluency in English.

- Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, dynamic environment, making informed decisions with limited information.
