Vice President - Software Engineering - eCommerce

One of the early stage startups in Indonesia - building Indonesia's first dark store - quick commerce grocery platform is looking for a VP - Engineering to be based at Jakarta, Indonesia.

Requirement :

The individual should have a Masters degree in Computer Science from a Premium Institute or equivalent with at least 10 years in a similar Technological role, with at least 5 years in a managerial capacity in an Startup E-commerce environment.

- The incumbent should have been a part of the early stage startup & seen scale of expansion.

- Having knowledge of systems for warehousing & logistics would be an added benefit. .

- Advanced technological skill set and a demonstrated history with technology.

- Have prior track record of hiring and building a team.

- Tech architecture background is a plus point.

- Exceptional team management skills.

- Excellent verbal and written communication.

- Ability to delegate efficiently.

- Extensive industry knowledge with an eye towards the future.

Job Details :

- The person will be a core member of the founding team to build a scalable start-up from ground up. Guide the founders in areas related to technology.

- Setting a vision for how technology will be used by the company.

- Ensuring that technological resources meet the company's short and long-term needs.

- Take responsibility in driving technology, quality and performance of the system like an owner would to help drive more volume and strength to the business.

- Outline the goals for the development team and take the responsibility to build / recruit the team.

- Creating timelines for the development and deployment of all technological services.

- Working closely with the founders and the product team to understand market requirements, business goals to translate them into microservices that help achieve those set goals.

- Making executive decisions, budget and tools required on behalf of the company's technological requirements.

- Acting as a mentor to team members.

- Maintaining a consumer-focused outlook.

- Understanding of latest technology trends and having a grip on certain key stack that will be required to build and manage scale.
