Vice President/Senior Vice President/Director - R&D - Chemical

Looking for VP / Sr. VP - R&D (Chemicals and Pharmaceutical) for a leading Speciality Chemical Company based at Mumbai.

Objective :

As a member of senior Management Team, independently Lead R&D initiatives for Our Client & Contribute towards Company's mid to long term growth plans.

Key Role & Responsibilities :

- Plan, Direct and execute various Research initiatives.

- Lead R&D team of Phds and Chemists for consistent and improved performance.

- Review and Transform R&D structure to quickly respond to current and future business needs. Evaluate current processes/systems/structure and make appropriate changes for improved efficiency.

- Improve competitive advantage of the organisation through R&D Projects.

- Drive Improvement projects, Initiatives and Policies for R&D Centre.

- Independent responsibility for R&D Budget and financials.

- Improve DKC branding by collaborating with Customers, Authorities, Vendor and external R&D Forums.

- Identify & capture key concerns through stakeholder meetings & develop improvement programs

- Overall responsibility for Synthesis, Analytical, Process Scale up for Our Client (India and International)

- Effectively manage Tech support function and ensure quick response to Customer needs.

- Represent R&D in Global meetings, reviews and conferences.

- Complete responsibility of a R&D Centre.

Competence (Skills, knowledge, experience and attributes required)

Education : Phd ,Preferred From NCL-Pune, IICT-Hyderabad, IIT or equivalent

Work Experience : 18+ years of strong experience in Pharma/Fine Chemicals

- Polymer / Catalysts

- Holding Commercial or Semi Commercial Patents

- Chemistry and process Scale up

- Must be in Leadership position for 5+ years
