Organisation: Investment Bank, 100% subsidiary of one of the largest commercial banks of Mauritius

Department: Investment Banking

Open Positions - One at VP level & one at Senior Associate level

Scope of work: Work out o Mauritius office, scouting and executing financing / structured deals across Mauritius and Africa markets.

Experience: Candidate must have minimum 3 years (for Senior Associate level) or 8-10 years (for VP level) of experience in well-known investment banking firms in India or abroad.

Qualification: MBA/ CFA/ CA

Functional Competency:

- Deal Origination and Business Development skills

- Deal Structuring

- Term Sheet Negotiation

- Financial Modeling

- Valuation Analysis

- Due Diligence

- Strong Client Relationship Management

Role:

1. Responsible for executing business development strategies for target sectors / clients, for investment banking products/deals (primarily debt and structures)

2. Lead the preparation of investment memorandum and presentations for management and the board of directors

3. Assist CEO with the development of boarder strategic initiatives

4. Managing and conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis of complex data

Research and Prospecting :

1. Monitor industry development to identify and evaluate deal opportunities

2. Research and approach funding targets through multiple channels like internet prospecting, employee referral, networking, database searches, internet ads etc.

3. Development of various types of financial models to value debt and equity for funding requirements of the client

4. Conduct preparation and review of material used in the financing of clients, including of investment memorandum, management presentations and pitch-books.

5. Create presentations for clients-portfolios and ensure monthly submission

Analytics :

1. Execute industry analysis of prospects by gathering information about growth, competitors and market share possibilities

2. Responsible and coordinate for due diligence, analysis and documentation of live transactions

3. Responsible for submitting reports of analysis of company fundamental and financial statements

4. Initiates the tracking of key metrics and support overall project management of the transactions, including facilitation of cross functional teams for purpose of due diligence, valuation, negotiations and internal approval

5. Assist with the preparation and presentation of materials supporting deal strategy to CEO and internal stakeholders

6. Participate in legal negotiations regarding transaction related contracts with external counsel

Collaboration :

1. Develop deep understanding of identified sectors with high deal potential and building relationships with key players and decision makers in that sector

2. Maintain healthy relations during the period of the deal from formulation to execution ensuring future business potential

3. Work collaboratively with senior leadership team to identify new mandates.
