Description - This position is a senior role for the project, responsibility of managing overall security of a land parcel measuring in thousands of acres. The person will be responsible for the overall safeguarding besides ensuring the safety of the construction material since the land parcel does not have any boundary at present. The role will work directly with the Project Head on driving key security initiatives with ample use of new age technology.

Our client is a renowned conglomerate with diversified business interests spanning across Infrastructure, Power, etc. They are a listed entity and are one of the biggest players in India in their sector. The upcoming project is touted to be one of the biggest projects pan India. Based out of Mumbai they are looking for a Head of Security at a VP level to support the growth plans of the organization and ensure safety & security of the project.

Description

Reporting to the Project Head and the CEO of the Operator Group, the responsibilities of the role will include:

- Proper security for the entire land parcel with strong focus on ensuring safety of the construction material

- Co-ordination with local regulatory authority to ensure safe premises and no encroachment on the land parcel

- Good vigilance capability and links with intelligence units

- Good rapport with the local government representatives to ensure safeguarding of the land parcel and that the project timelines are not delayed due to hassles

- Initial stages will also involve taking care of local administration which will be supported by Operator Admin team

- Install the systems and processes to ensure the things are in place

- The project will be heavily driven by technology coupled with a lot of modernization initiatives. The incumbent must be comfortable with its implementation and usage.

- Orientation towards a service industry mindset

Profile :

The client is specifically looking for people who come with prior experience of Public Services (Ex. Servicemen, Ex. Police Authorities, etc.) or big Corporate Houses where the potential incumbent has had an exposure of managing large scale project security.

The role involves strong liaising mindset to ensure amiable working relationships with the local authorities and regulatory bodies to ensure the project is being executed under the scope of established rules and regulations. Besides, the person would also be responsible for ensuring the safety of the construction materials spread over an extremely large land parcel.

Strong service orientation coupled with affinity towards technology is a must have for the role.
