As VP-Sales, you will be entrusted with the responsibility of leading and overseeing the overall strategy, growth, and performance of sales at a national level.
This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record in driving sales, establishing strong partnerships, and ensuring the successful implementation of strategic initiatives to achieve national business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive strategy to achieve planned growth objectives for sales across channels.
- Formulate and execute a tactical business plan, considering market opportunities, competitor activities, existing capabilities, and risk appetite.
2. Acquisition and Activation:
- Continuously acquire new relations with Banks, NDs & IFAs for B2B sales through effective prospecting and networking.
- Conduct regular knowledge sessions to empower IFAs, and events with banks & NDs, enabling them to build significant AUM (Assets Under Management).
- Formulate and execute strategy for acquisition of direct investors.
3. Market Analysis and Sales Growth:
- Analyze market and industry trends to identify growth opportunities.
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly business plan targets by increasing sales and market share.
4. Brand Development:
- Help in establishing and communicating a strong and vibrant brand across channels.
- Work towards enhancing brand awareness and perception with marketing team.
5. Location-based Sales:
- Assume responsibility for selling products at the assigned location and explore new areas for business expansion.
- Penetrate targeted key accounts and identify upselling opportunities.
6. Distributor Engagement and Training:
- Plan and execute effective distributor engagement activities and training programs periodically.
- Collaborate with distributors to ensure effective communication and alignment with business objectives.
7. Sales Performance Analysis:
- Conduct regular analysis of sales patterns, customer feedback, and market dynamics.
- Originate upselling opportunities and ensure continuous improvement in sales strategies.
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in business, Sales, or a related field.
Postgraduate/ MBA will be valued.
- Proven experience in B2B sales, with at least 3 years in Mutual Fund sales.
- Strong understanding of banks, NDs and IFA channel and corresponding market dynamics.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make strategic decisions.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
