Job Description :
- To set revenue goals and company strategy & implement sales plan to accelerate revenue growth and brand recognition.
- To contributing meaningful insight to the sales and marketing functions and play an integral role in the overall development of the organization.
- Develops three years marketing action plan that clearly define objectives, goals, schedules and assignments to implement and achieve targeted opportunities. Set overall Sales target and ensure achievement of sales numbers through team and also monitor them against quarterly and annual targets. Identifying where improvements can be made and developing sales plans and strategies to achieve sales goals.
- Strategize for introduction of New Product segment; Business Development for New Products and building new customers in Commodities and Speciality segments.
- To identify and resolve customers issues strategically; Work with internal teams to ensure highest level of customer service; Interface with Technical support team to resolve issues that directly impacts customers.
- To carry out a program for market research and analysis including market segments, buying trends and competitor analysis. Monitoring the market and competitor products and activities and providing detailed sales forecasting.
- Framing sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products. Will be accountable for pricing decision and for Bottom Line growth.
- Maintains sales volume, product mix, and selling price by reviewing supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
- Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
- Creating sales reports and providing feedback to the leadership team at company meetings.
- Ensures Data Analysis through team and oversees verifies reporting of sales and marketing activities, including leads generated and tracking reports, sales orders received, sales by product mix, backlog reports and customer lists and determines appropriate reporting frequency, such as weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
- Creating a talent pipeline to ensure the right people and leadership skills are in place within the Sales and Marketing function. Ability to nurture the Team and ensure team's development.
- Create SOP's for Sales & Marketing Function
- Manage company website; Responsible for Company's branding - both locally & globally.
Critical Competencies required :
- Good analytical skills to identify market trends and opportunities and allocating and prioritizing resources to meet the challenges and achieve the revenue targets.
- Energetic, persuasive and well organised and able to demonstrate ability to sell; should be a Go getter.
- Excellent Interpersonal skills and have ability to communicate effectively with the management team and Cross functional teams.
- Good presentation and negotiation skills
- Strategic thinker with proven leadership experience and customer service skills
- Preferably from Process Industry & Chemical Manufacturing industry; with techno commercial skills, having 15+ years of experience in PVC / Polymers / Chemicals.
- Open to extensive travels including plant visits.
Academic & Professional Qualifications :
- MBA in International Business, Marketing. Must have good understanding of Chemistry.
- Techno- Commercial mind-set; Good understanding of Commodity Sales and understanding of Price fluctuations.
- 15-20 years of experience in a sales leadership position | Heading the function.
- Strong working knowledge of the company's products, competitive products, and the market.
- Competent with MS Office. Good to have exposure on Salesforce.com
