Position: VP - Retail Analytics Location: Bangalore Total Experience: 10 years+ Relevant Experience: 8 yr+ The Role: Provide analytic support to the business teams, understand the business context, formulate and execute appropriate analytical approach to address the business situation. Develop / own comprehensive end to end solutions to address business problems. Drive innovative analytical approaches across the broader team and conceptualize and execute solutions to ambiguous problems. Independently manage end to end partner communication. The VP will be leading Retail Bank analytics initiatives in APAC Business Analytics team. Business/Department/Objectives: - The individual will need to work with stakeholders across APAC and EMEA to conceptualize and implement consistent analytical solutions across markets - Conceptualize, develop and implement regional frameworks/ strategic analytical solutions that can be used across markets Analytic Project Execution: - Build effective teams to deliver on business priorities. - Decompose business priorities into candidate projects. - Consult with partners to initiate project aligned to business needs. - Manage the project pipeline to ensure prioritization and resourcing. - Influence analytic approaches through learnings and insights. - Talent Management: Manage career progression for the team. Influence organizational policies on Talent management. - Teamwork: Manage initiative across the GDM. Establish a structured interaction model with the partners - Travel: 10% Educational qualifications: Post Graduate/PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Econometrics, Management Science and/or related fields is a must. Experience requirements: - 10+ Yrs Experience in Financial Services/Analytics Industry - Established competency in one or more of the following - Financial Analysis and/or Business Analysis - Knowledge of analytical tools such as SAS/SQL and complex data sources - Experience in one or more financial services businesses (cards, retail bank, mortgage etc) - People management experience - Strong Analytical aptitude and logical reasoning ability - Strong presentation and communication skills. - Strong process/project management skill
