Accounting Responsibility:

- Oversee the execution of day-to-day operations of the General Accounting, Intercompany, Fixed Assets and Consolidations teams

- Possess strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, and other international accounting standards

- Oversee general ledger and financial statement/reporting activities across all in-scope regions, as well as month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities

- Review and approve account reconciliations, manual journal entries, and analyses based on Client accounting procedures and controls, ensuring they follow U.S. and local GAAP regulations

- Plan and execute the consolidation and period-end close processes within SAP S/4HANA and Group Reporting in accordance with period-end close calendar

- Lead the Accounting group's interaction with global teams (U.S., Europe, Hong Kong, etc.) to ensure effective delivery of reports, work products, support to regions and response to queries

- Implement and execute controls and identify high-risk areas to facilitate compliance with U.S. and local GAAP requirements of all national and/or regional laws and regulations associated with duties and responsibilities by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions

- Possess strong knowledge of existing legislations and study new legislations, enforce adherence to requirements, and advise management on needed actions

- Assist in research and identifications of control procedures and practices to ensure no significant SOX control deficiencies in the Accounting sub-functions

- Ensure organization of documents and files to seamlessly support external audit and SOX/internal audit requests

- Lead and ensure timely completion of close activities in accordance with fiscal close calendar, including collaborating with various teams impacted by or participating in the fiscal close process

- Identify and lead R2R improvement initiatives to drive operational efficiencies and improved controls

- Support regional leadership through business partnering by providing metrics, problem resolution, and reporting process performance

- Advise team in handling of non-routine and complex accounting transactions

- Conceptualize, plan & drive automations through RPA/AI tools etc.

- Driving productivity and transformation initiatives

Management Responsibility:

- Lead and manage the Accounting, Intercompany, and Consolidations delivery team of approximately 50+ team members, ensuring communication and coordination within and across teams

- Facilitate interactions between team members and business to promote cross-functional ways of working and promote seamless handoffs

- Manage direct reports- goals and objectives; prepare employee performance evaluations in a timely manner; ensure staff maintains Key Performance Indicator (KPI) results within management expectations where necessary

- Develop/mentor team; provide advice, counselling, soft skills guidance; interpersonal, interaction skills

- Monitor staff utilization

- Supervise personnel issues relating to staff conflicts, absenteeism, performance issues, etc.
