Description

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Strategic Risk Program (SRP) aims to support the delivery of a target state operating model for Front Office Risk Management Systems and improvements to the downstream architecture within the Investment Bank. The Rationalisation stream's objectives are to reduce the number of FO risk systems, in order to reduce IT complexity, simplify the data and feed architecture and reduce the costs of running these risk systems.

A Project Manager is required within the CRO Change team in India to manage the delivery within CRO of specific SRP projects The candidate will be required to manage the delivery across multiple critical projects. This requires an experienced and strong PM, preferably with experience in programs / projects where data management is key factor, other project delivery partners in a globally distributed matrix organization comprising of FO, Risk, Data, Change, IT, QA & Production teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

This is a key role to deliver strategic data sourcing projects. Responsibilities include managing projects through initiation and scope definition, implementation and user acceptance, and finally go-live:

- Project management and co-ordination to drive delivery

- Provide project status reporting and management of project budget and financials

- Implement necessary controls and reports to effectively manage the project and report status to senior management

- Prepare detailed status reports and management decks for review at stakeholder governance meetings and for submission to the regulator

- Business Analysis

- Managing Stakeholders

- Manage a matrix team of suppliers across divisions, to deliver projects within the necessary timelines.

- Engage CRO and CFO Change teams in a collaborative manner to achieve delivery objectives.

Act as a liaison between the technical and the business teams to facilitate the production of clear business and functional requirements.

Qualifications

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- Educated to Degree level (or equivalent experience)

- At least 5 years- experience in the Financial Services Industry (preferably investment banking)

- Risk domain knowledge

- Familiarity investment banking and/or private banking products

- Very structured and organized

- Ability to facilitate initiation and scoping phases of a project

- Understanding of the Project Lifecycle Process

- Strong collaboration skills

- Prince 2 / PMP knowledge
