Roles & Responsibilities
- A Project Management Manager 3 is responsible for leading and directly managing a group of People Managers and Senior Project Managers with an estimated span of control of 150+
- Influences and negotiates with senior leadership & major stakeholders to establish strategic plans and objectives for various technical/process, programs or projects and for setting high level strategy on business, product, and customer service needs
- Analyzes profitability, policy, programs and staffing to ensure optimal business results;
- May Initiate and direct complex projects, including those managed by others
- Responsible for selecting, training, developing, and managing performance of direct reports in area of specialty; and mentoring, coordinating, planning, and providing direction to direct reports in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable legal requirements
- Responsible for conducting regular team meetings with direct reports and skip level meetings with the larger teams. The discussion may include but not limited to : Project Progress and issues; Feedback on team member's performance; Progress on previous Action items and assignment of new action items; Provide help and guidance to the team members on any road blocks/issues
- Responsible for conducting performance reviews with direct reports
- Act as a single point of contact for any escalation/feedback on direct reports, review Root cause analysis on escalations of indirect reports, develop action plans and assess and mitigate business risks associated with the escalations.
- Liaise with senior leadership, direct reports & HR partners to develop hiring strategies based on the forecast
- Ensures that all SLA's are met through data collection, root cause analysis and action planning
- Ensures that team members are following the organization's project management methodology while managing their respective projects
- Ensures project control and Oversees project / Program / Portfolio risks and interfaces with high level users to define needs and issues
- Manages the creation of user training;
- Manages budget/forecasting; developing and/or authorizing policies/procedures/controls within scope of project to optimize results while ensuring compliance with government regulations and enterprise policies
- Develop new strategies for value add and growth sustenance by exploring new business opportunities, roles and locations to benefit the organizational needs and align to organizational goals.
- Involvement in strategizing and executing Enterprise business changes across the organization successfully.
Skills & Experience Required
- Candidate should have a total of 18+years of Experience in IT/ITES organization
- Minimum 10+ Years of core people management/leadership experience managing Project Managers & People Managers
Excellent leadership skills to help people perform at their best, through motivating and developing them to achieve high performance
- Strong ability to guide individuals toward goal achievement using negotiation, teamwork/collaboration, motivation and staff development skills including the ability to act as a role model within the organization
- Excellent ability to demonstrate innovation and good judgment/problem solving skills when making decisions
- Ability to establish a course of action for self and others to accomplish a specific goal while using appropriate resources
- Ability to coach, develop action plans, which maximize performance, and provide effective feedback
- Proven ability to analyze and improve work processes and policies. Work well under pressure, professional demeanor, and Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
- Ability to analyze and implement processes and problem resolutions
Shift timings for all is 1:30pm -10:30pm
