We have been retained by one of the Premier Banking Global Process Organization
To identify a Lead for Project Management team within their Finance Operation.
Location is Chennai.
REPORTS TO (Primary): SVP -Finance, Change Manager
REPORTS TO (Secondary: Global Process Managers
JOB PURPOSE :
Project Management:
- Drive communication with senior stakeholders to ensure that there is broad organizational level buy in for the changes
- Ability to think through concepts on an end to end basis (including all downstream impact)
- Manage risks and issues appropriately, raising items to senior management when necessary
- Maintain accurate plans, cost estimates, benefit realization models, and other typical project management documentation
- Identify and address the root cause of issues, providing advice and ensuring queries and issues are managed and resolved in a timely fashion
- Co-ordinate and manage resources to deliver agreed outputs
- Determine inter-relationships across project streams to maximize on time, cost and quality
People / Resource Management:
- Contribute to the proactive and visible leadership of projects, share business knowledge and technical expertise, building a toolkit for subsequent country implementations
- Monitor workloads and manage capacity within the project team to achieve optimal deployment of resources
- Build, manage, coach, develop and engage a team of high performing Work stream Leads
Targets & Budgets:
- Maintain business case and ensure benefits can and are tracked for the project.
- Ensure that the project is delivered to right time frames and within scope.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Essential:
- CA or MBA. Strong track record of delivering solutions on large projects, ideally whilst working for a - Big 5- consultancy or a similar company. Total work experience of over 12-15 years
- Strong background in working across global organizations and cultures
- Delivery of high quality work, in a limited amount of time
- Good PowerPoint, Word and Excel skills
- Excellent Project management skills including management of multiple streams
- Excellent consulting and communication skills, able to convey complex messages quickly and succinctly to various senior stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail
- High levels of drive and resilience
- Pragmatic approach to achieving the objectives set, able to flex an approach as needed
- A willingness to work with ambiguity within a fluid business environment
- Track record of working in a very organized way, multi-tasking, prioritizing, managing data, and setting and achieving deadlines (both short and long term)
- Capacity to think creatively and laterally; excellent reasoning skills and the ability to make sound judgments
