1. Product Planning, Development and Management - Lead the planning, design and development of the product strategy and calendar for the Company, in consultation with sales, actuarial and other related functions, to ensure that the plan is dynamic and flexible enough to respond to market situations and meets company's business objectives. - Lead the organisation knowledge in area of products through consumer, competition and industry studies to track industry and product performance trends, define target segments and recommend development of new product ideas and modification of existing products that reflect the needs of target markets, channel and company. 2. Product Implementation - Establish best-practice standards, develop process maps, operating procedures and continuously work to define and enhance the company's product development, implementation and management processes and systems to ensure that they are streamlined, efficient, sustainable and complete and enables time bound delivery of the product plans. - Ensure timely implementation of the product plans through coordination and liaison with sales, actuarial and other related functions. - Ensure ongoing compliance with regulatory and internal guidelines in all aspects of product development, management and implementation 3. Product Communication and Support - Lead product-based communication development based on market research, competitive analysis and feedback incl. sales collaterals and advice tools, customer presentations, training materials and all other collaterals that optimally positions and communicates the strengths of our products. - Plan and develop go-to-market plans and programs for all products, working directly with all departments as necessary, to ensure that the product positioning, key benefits and target customers are clearly understood and plans supported through efforts in all areas. 4. People Development - Lead and coach the team to help them achieve their goals and full potential and build capacity in the team to deliver the product development and management mandate. - Ensure clarity of roles and responsibilities among team members, assess their training needs and develop individual development plans for each resource, to facilitate right training inputs and ensure ongoing performance and assessment Work Relationship : - Chief Actuary, Head - IT, Sales Heads, Operations Head, Investments Head &amp; Underwriting-to develop and implement the Product plan - Legal &amp; Compliance- to ensure adherence with regulatory and internal guidelines - Strategic business partners Required Experience : Non-technical Experience : - At least 10-15 years experience in financial services, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role - At least 4 years of experience in the insurance space is a must - Good Negotiation Skills and Networking skills. - Excellent written and verbal English. Technical Experience : - Excellent understanding of insurance products &amp; consumer behaviour/sales opportunities for the same - Excellent understanding of regulatory guidelines and constraints upon insurance products - Good understanding of investment products such as Mutual Funds, Equity etc. - People from Life Insurance/Banking will be preferred.
