Opening for VP - Private Equity Advisory - Execution, Origination & Servicing

Company : Leading Financial Services Firm

Location : Mumbai

Responsibilities :

- Deal making : VC/ PE fund raising for different sectors and businesses

- Assist coverage team in mandate origination & active engagement with potential clients

a. Work on pitch books, background research on specific targets / sectors

- Establishing strong relationships with investors; specific focus on private equity funds and investment focused firms

a. Engagement with key decision makers/partners in the funds in order to develop insights on investor preferences & ability to influence key decision makers

b. Originating IPO mandates and secondary blocks from Investors

- End to end transaction execution including

a. Preparing marketing material/IMs and detailed financial models - work closely with and guide the junior team members to deliver required collaterals

b. Marketing the transaction to investors and hand holding the deal negotiation process to ensure successful closure

- Building a strong knowledge base on the sector(s) - Industry views, comparative deal analysis, valuation insights

- Deal structuring capabilities along with understanding of client needs

Candidate Profile :

- Sound understanding of the industry & tapping potential companies /sector

- Expert knowledge on IM, financial modeling and valuation principles

- Experience of successful deal closures (VC/PE) in the last 3-5 years

- Relationships with key investors in the business ecosystem

- Resourceful in terms of network of friends, professional connects in the industry to source market intelligence

- Ability to spot emerging trends and accordingly work with coverage teams

- Eye for detail with ability to simultaneously manage transactions across different sub - sectors in the industry

- Ability to lead team, work independently, should be self-driven and highly motivated

- Excellent communication skills.
