The Role
We are looking to hire a VP of Operations, who will have a successful history of building and motivating strong, world-class teams, applying strategic thinking, and executing effectively to deliver a track record of sustained accomplishments.
This is an Operations leadership role. The chosen person will be responsible for managing all aspects of operations pan-India. Interest in spearheading international markets a plus.
This is a senior leadership role position which requires a candidate with the proven ability to drive process improvements and the ability to keep pace with our explosive growth while motivating others to meet the challenges of an extremely deadline-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Overall P&L responsibility for the region
- Operational unit set up and expansion in the region initially
- Ensuring cost control and optimisation
- Operational excellence and achievement of Operational KPIs
- Execution of operational plans
- Build and mentor the operations team
Responsibilities - Ownership
- Accountability for meeting and exceeding operational goals.
- Be the voice of the customer and drive initiatives to increase their NPS (net promoter score).
- Drive and manage operations with channel partners.
- Lead and supervise a team of Supply Managers, Demand Managers and Regional Managers.
- Optimise resource utilisation.
- Ownership for the overall safety, quality and performance of his zone.
Responsibilities - P&L
- Ability to develop and share best practices across network.-
- Accountable for the complete Revenue and P&L of the country.
- Strategic planning and forecasting- improving the balanced score card.
Responsibilities - Operational Leverage
- Ability to scale up the operations to 100X by innovating modern technologies and problem solving.
- Define and operationalise SOPs for all processes from sales to fulfilment.
- Develop and manage outcomes across different channels.
- Develop operating models for supply/demand for each geography.
- Drive new policy initiative and process changes across the marketplace within defined timelines.
- Identify, evaluate and implement new systems when necessary.
- Take ownership for inventory and build models for forecasting of demand, minimise inventory hold times and increase sales velocity.
- Work with logistics team on supply chain bottlenecks. Responsible for handling logistics, cancellation, RTO% etc.
Responsibilities - Run-time Operations
- 80/20 rule: effectively create low resource high impact operational strategies.
- Arrange for regular audits to check the quality and standards of the service.
- Being able to see micro and macro at the same time and with equal efficiency.
- Evaluate performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics.
- Future ready - always looking to disrupt and challenge the status quo.
- Lead employees to encourage maximum performance and dedication.
- Low burn, highly iterative operational development and market testing.
- Measure effectiveness and efficiency of operational processes both internally and externally and finds ways to improve processes.
- Organise & analyse mandatory daily, weekly and monthly reports for the management.
- Oversee daily operations of the company and the work of executives.
Requirements
- BA/BE/MS/MBA from a Tier I institute.
- 4+ years of progressive experience in operations management with significant leadership capacity.

- Set the vision, direction, and culture of the team by managing individual's and team's performance, expectations and goals.
