Job Description  Job Title: VP - Operations, Lava Cast Job Grade: Vice President   Reporting to: President / MD  Location: Vadodara (Gujarat)  Overall Purpose of Job:   He shall be accountable for Foundry Operations, Maintenance; Design & Development and Quality related activities pertaining to the Foundry Plant and shall be responsible for the company's day-to-day operations, revenue and bottom-line.  Head - Production, Head - Maintenance, Head - Quality Assurance, Manager - Methoding / Pattern Shop from Foundry shall report to this position.  Main Activity/Tasks:   - To efficiently run the Foundry and bring it to its rated capacity in the shortest possible time.  - To control, direct and monitor the resources, operations for the Foundry so as to achieve the company's financial goals  - To develop & implement budget and be in-charge of the P&L Account for the Foundry to support the strategic business goals  - Efficient revenue generation to be able to pay the Bankers and also generate profits.  CAPEX Management  Materials Management  - Increase the yield, control rejections within allowable limits, control costs and increase efficiency in terms of power consumption and reduce cost of raw material used by proper sourcing and efficient inventory management.  - To provide leadership and to control the daily operations of Foundry personnel so as to provide a safe, secure and efficient working environment  - To manage and direct a team of skilled and technical persons through sound personnel practices such as goal-setting and performance reviews  - To guide the HR Team in identifying the training needs for his team and mentoring them  - To remain up to date on the status of each function of the company  - Develop, establish, and direct execution of operating policies to support overall company policies and objectives  Special Requirements:   Hands on experience in Operations of Disamatic Vertically Parted High Pressure Moulding Line of a Cast Iron (Gray & SG Iron) Foundry.  Knowledge and Skills:   - Strong Leadership Skills   - Strategic thinking  - Decision making  - Analytical   - Risk Management  - Good overall awareness of occupational health and safety   Educational Qualification and Special Training: B.E./ B. Tech/ M.E./ M.Tech.
