Summary

- Plan, organize, direct, control and manage the lab with complete responsibility over operation, sales and support functions.

- Accountable for revenue, cost and profitability.

- Direct and guide department heads in defining goals and objectives and develop strategies to meet and evaluate those goals.

- Act as a change agent by providing the means to foster and support a positive organizational culture. Ensuring efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.

The position is also responsible for the total value chain of the business with more customer focus and thereby bringing high degree of customer satisfaction.

Job description - 

- Develop a strategic plan to advance lab mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability, and growth and implement it effectively.

- Manage lab operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.

- Develop, drive and deliver a strong customer base, formulating and monitoring robust sales plan, supporting relationship management for key strategic customers, driving exploration of new markets and regions. Establish and maintain excellent customer relationships and develop total value chain of the business.

- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all delivery schedules for timely dispatch of reports.

- Review financial statements to determine progress and status in attaining objectives and revising objectives and plans in accordance with current conditions. Set up budgets for the lab and effectively implement the same.

- Manage revenue, PBT, operating cost as a percentage of revenue, cost per unit of analysis and re-analysis as per budget.

- Develop a strong team and motivate employees for productivity and performance.

- Develop and implement appropriate systems and processes for monitoring performance against plans and budgets. Provide coaching, vision and direction to the lab team and monitor performance to achieve growth, service and objectives.

- Manage the existing customer base of Our Client by addressing key technical, commercial and delivery issues.

- Responsible for developing/monitoring all operational work instructions and procedures, reviewing analysis related metrics and reports and undertaking corrective action, performing capacity analysis and assessing unit capabilities in meeting customer requirements, directing, testing & quality control inspection system and developing analysis reporting procedures.

- To review unit performance reports detailing analysis time, raw material usage, down time and efficiencies and calculate overall lab productivity and efficiencies and ensure meeting of quality standards and cost objectives.

- Lead implementation of company operation policies, best practices and standard operating procedures to facilitate performance, grow profits and exceed client and company expectations, manage profitability of the lab and review revenue generation, analyse profit and loss statements and deliver key controllable expenses within budget targets to maximise productivity and profitability.

- Responsible for business expansion and P&L.

- Experience of managing accredited lab testing business and operation, preferably metals / minerals / petroleum products.

- To freeze the KPI of team members in line with the overall goals / KPI of the lab.

- Make OUR CLIENT the market leader in metals, minerals, minerals, petroleum testing business in India in 2-3 years.

Location - Mumbai

Qualification - BSC (PCM)/ BTech Mechanical with PGD from Premier Institute.
