Vice President - Operational Risk - BFSI

Your Responsibilities

As VP -Risk & Controls, you will be required to:

- Identify emerging risks and issues; work with unit management to develop suitable mitigating controls, undertake any risk-related exercises as required by the management and assist with any risk incident management issues as required

- Actively manage risks in accordance with the Group's Risk framework, drive continuous improvement activities to include the design of risks and processing controls to ensure they remain fully effective / robust, support customer service and with any best practices identified being shared across Risk community in the organization

- Challenge and test the adequacy of the control assurance framework which businesses use to complete their program of key control tests, provide an independent report, to allocated business units and appropriate risk functions, commenting on the overall control performance of the unit

- Support the production of the appropriate certification/reports providing feedback to business on the adequacy and effectiveness of unit performance based on own assurance testing /findings

- Support ongoing program of themed reviews (targeted on specific units, processes or risk areas) with involvement in all Meeting Internal Business elements of the reviews

Skills you need

- A graduate/post graduate degree (Banking/Commerce preferable)

- Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office skills

- Interpersonal and presentation skills, excellent written and verbal communication

- Ability to understand operational risk issues, policy interpretation capabilities

- Skills such as time and task management, interpersonal sensitivity, delegation, computer proficiency
