Vice President - Operation - Plant

KEY RESULT AREAS & EXPECTED OUTCOMES:

- Guides and directs the plant operations, including production, productivity and quality standards in all the plants.

- Formulates strategies and plans to increase productivity of operations

- Streamlines and benchmarks various aspects of operations internally and externally and drives modern manufacturing techniques and leads continuous process/quality improvements initiatives such as TQM, TPM, Six Sigma, lean manufacturing systems

- Establishes a productive work environment, develops a competent, motivated and effective team for achieving operational excellence

- Puts in place systems and processes including benchmarking standards, which will ensure all round operational efficiency

- Provides leadership to create superior, integrated operations for different businesses of the organization and maximize internal efficiency

- Interfaces with Government and regulatory bodies and guides and supports Plant Heads to handle all routine liaison activities related to plant operations such as Factory and Boiler Inspectorates, Electricity Authorities, Police, Hospitals, Local Community Heads etc.

- Guides support functions such as HR/Administration, Accounts, Projects, Materials, etc.

- Directs and controls all the developmental and expansion projects at site and ensure timely and effective implementation of these projects

- Leads, motivates and guides a team of senior managers nurturing right culture developmental practices and drives them to achieve their goals

- Acts as a member of corporate think tank in important policy decisions spanning all areas of existing activities

- Oversees CSR function and ensures the function delivers on developing, planning, and executing initiatives in line with the company's community development efforts. Also ensures creating links between the Company and the community, raising positive awareness of the organization's commitment to sustainable social responsibility.

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

- A graduate in Engineering / MBA or PG Diploma in Management with over 20 / 25 years' experience of managing multiple production units in a medium to large-sized company.
