Key Responsibilities:

As the VPMRAC - India you will be responsible for the following:

1. Helping to deliver the Front to Back target operating model, processes, controls and reporting for current production and the strategic future state including Historical Simulation calculations under current rules and FRTB

2. Delivering accurate and timely production of all market risk metrics with appropriate KOPS and governance, execute high quality analysis and commentary of the various business risk profile, ensuring metrics are explained and actionable.

3. Ensuring that the MRAC Asset Class and Metric Production team has the appropriate level of product knowledge and front to back knowledge and relationships to be effective in the execution of its role

4. Representing the MRAC function at key internal forums (project workshops, working groups, etc.) driving Historical Simulation and FRTB implementation

5. - Home of Best Fit- ensuring that strategic processes are performed in the most efficient and cost effective location

Skills & Qualifications:

The role requires a background in market risk control, market risk management or equivalent, a detailed understanding of historical simulation based market risk calculations, architecture, processes and controls along with strong market risk and product knowledge.

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate broader understanding of risk attributes, booking, structuring, and valuation and lifecycle characteristics, end to end market risk processes & control frameworks.

Detailed understanding and experience of historical simulation VaR/SVaR and CRD3 risk metrics.

A good understanding of the requirements of FRTB and how these should be implemented in an efficient and controlled way.

A career history which includes risk, P&L and accounting experience in Product Control is also valuable.

A clear understanding of how front to back (E2E) business processes should be organised at a Tier1 investment bank.

A strong and collaborative personality is essential, as are ability to present and communicate to Management Board -1 level, ability to think clearly under pressure, along with influencing and networking skills.

Ability to work cross-functionally and proactively forge relationships with key contacts front to back is essential.

Advanced team and people leadership skills, working across geographical time zones, leveraging vendor models and experience of outsourcing tasks and processes are essential.

8-12+ years of relevant work experience at an international bank, lately at Director or equivalent level.

University degree in Engineering, Sciences, Finance, Economics.
