Vice President - Legal - LLB - Real Estate

Hiring for the role of a VP - Legal with a leading Real Estate Giant.

Job Location: Mumbai

Key responsibilities:

- Litigation:

- Strategy & Documentation - initiation of legal proceedings and active participation in strategy, research, and arguments.

- Counsels - identification, appointment and management of external counsel.

- Driving settlements.

- Corporate Legal:

- Structuring, drafting & negotiating SPA, SHA, IA, DOA, etc.

- JVs and joint development transactions.

- Corporate Finance transactions (loan documentation, security creation, refinancing, etc.)

- Land Acquisition:

- Oversee Due Diligence to ensure clear title.

- Transaction structuring & documentation: Work with various top counsels, provide options to management on various deal structures.

- Draft, negotiate and finalize transaction documents.

- Real Estate / Commercial Transaction Documentation:

- Responsible for drafting and vetting of various types of agreements like Lease Deeds, Conveyance Deeds, Mortgage Deeds, Development Agreements, Agreements for Sale, Leave & License Agreements, etc.

- Legal contracts, tenders and agreements.

- Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts.

- Prepare templates, upgrades of all standard agreements, documents, etc.

- Monitor and control the process to be followed by the legal team in the closure of agreements with vendors/service providers, etc. with complete quality control.

- IPR Management :

- Oversee the management of the Group's Intellectual Property and ensure timely renewals, oppositions, etc.

Minimum Qualification & Experience:

- Graduate / Post Graduate in Law from a reputed institute with 15+ years of experience.

- At least 5 + years of experience working with a real estate firm.
