Vice President - Legal

Job Description :

- Provide legal services to various entities in India entering into technology and non-technology related contracts (e.g. outsourcing, offshore application development, software licensing, human resources, general procurement etc.).

- To draft and review Inter-Affiliate Agreements between the Receptor (the entity receiving the Services e.g. the GSC) and the Donor (the entity offshoring the Services) in the form of Master Service Agreements/Schedules, etc. as the Services provided by the GSC are the subject of inter-company contracts.

- To provide local legal advice with respect to specifics in employment, contract, tax, privacy and other laws related to offshoring.

- To provide advice on regulatory matters pertaining to DOT, STPI etc.

- To provide assistance to the Company Secretary.

- To manage litigation matters for the GSC in India and liaise with External Counsels.

- Reporting to Head of Legal - India Global Service Center.

To include :

- Draft & maintain global & regional precedent library in accordance with corporate policy and applicable law.

- Provide adhoc advice to internal clients on all regulatory issues, contract matters and other related queries including employment, contract, criminal and tax issues.

- Keep abreast of changes to applicable local laws and corporate policy.

- Mitigate and reduce exposure to by ensuring legal processes, work practices and policies are appropriate in current operating environment.
