Job purpose :
- This position will be responsible for leading the L&D function to educate and enhance employee performance in South India.
- Help define, charter and drive the 'Learning' agenda, by building and fostering a culture of continuous learning via a training curriculum using modern training practices.
Roles & Responsibilities :
Below are the list of roles and responsibilities (but not limited to) :
1. Learning Strategy :
- Promote and drive forward the training agenda through the integration and in building a learning organization
- Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization
- Define and execute the charter of roadmaps (defined by the group and RBI Capacity building); Functional/Sales; Leadership and Technology Skills
- Draw Annual budgets & govern the spend Learning Business Partner
- Conducts annual and on-going training needs assessment with BU Heads / HRBPs
- Propose learning solutions with objectives and mode of delivery (Blended / Online / Classroom)
- Interact with internal SMEs and external trainers to design the curriculum; course and assessments
- Publish the learning calendar; govern the completion of all mandatory courses and execute the on-boarding program
- Drive participation and completion of any learning initiative solutions
2. Facilitation :
- Facilitate the Induction Program and other learning programs (Professional-Leadership / Technical)
- Design and deliver custom solutions in Functional / Sales / Professional / Leadership Development / Technical (in consultation with the Vendor Partners where required)
3. Learning Operations & Governance :
- Oversee Contracts & Vendor Management (empanelment, identification, evaluation, purchase order-invoice-payment governance)
- Govern seamless administration of programs in the Learning Management System and evangelize digital learning through all learning solutions offered
- Work closely with all internal teams for the smooth execution of training programs
- Be Audit Ready by ensuring training records; budgets are updated and metrics reported periodically
Qualification / Skills :
- Experienced Banker (in consumer banking and products), who can lead the L&D Function preferred
- Master of Business Administration with a minimum of 15 to 18 years in learning and development and atleast 8-10 years as a people manager
- Experience in conducting Training Needs Analysis and carrying out all activities in the Training Cycle: Identity, Design, Delivery, Evaluation
- Hands-on in Content Design, Learning Measurement and business metrics
- Excellent Classroom Management and Facilitation Skills delivering programs
- Ability to manage vendor relationship including vendor cost and KPI management
- Communicate effectively at all levels (both internally and externally); ability to work and influence Team members/ Stakeholders across different sites globally
- Analyze large volume of data points, identifying issues and recommend solutions
- Thrive in emerging and challenging environment, demonstrate superior judgment, diplomacy, and tact, with a willingness to speak up amid adversity
Recommended but not Mandatory :
- Working knowledge on any Learning Management System and eLearning Development Platforms like Articulate, Captivate, etc. preferred
- Certified Practitioner in Technologies or Psychometric tools
Physical requirements :
- The position is in Chennai, travel pan India (30%) - Predominantly in South India
- Direct reports
- This is a People Manager role, with direct reports (on full time and contract role)
