The role requires a senior derivatives lawyer to form part of a high performing OTC Industry Master Agreement legal team to review, negotiate and advise on both vanilla and complex master agreement related matters. The candidate must be extremely knowledgeable in this area, preferably on matters relevant to the EMEA region. The candidate must be a native or fluent English speaker with impeccable communication skills; both written and verbal
Reviewing, drafting and negotiating English law Master Agreement documentation for OTC Derivative, Repo and Securities Lending transactions including but not limited to the ISDA Master Agreements (1992 and 2002 and ancillary documentation), Credit Support Annexes, GMRAs, and GMLSAs;
Carrying out legal reviews and assessments of OTC transaction proposals;
Reviewing constitutional documents, netting, collateral and capacity opinions as well as assisting with the drafting of additional bespoke provisions for particular jurisdictions or counterparty types;
Keeping informed of industry and regulatory developments such as EMIR, Dodd Frank and BCBS/IOSCO Margin Requirements;
Being the lead internal advisor to the front office businesses for both vanilla and complex matters and liaising with relevant internal stakeholders including trading, sales, operations, credit, treasury, and tax accordingly; and
Advising ISDA legal support and technology teams to ensure the firm's legal systems correctly reflect agreed Master Agreement terms.
