We have been retained by our client, a reputed multinational Bank to identify a Vice President- Integrated Risk to be based at Mumbai. JOB PURPOSE: - Stabilize the Integrated Risk Management Department to achieve perceived functions with major emphasis on planning, consolidation and controlling integrated risk. - Execute projects/jobs which are assigned specifically by the Management. - To Frame crucial/critical decisions by providing necessary inputs, analysis and opinion. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES : Market Risk : - To monitor and control market risk exposure and compliance of Market Risk policies. - To provide treasury staff and management with timely and relevant information on all market risk elements in the bank's treasury positions. - Policy and process preparation/ implementation. - Support to Balance Sheet Management Group for tracking funding and interest rate mismatches. - Make proposals for additional limit structures in order to keep the limit structure in line with the treasury activities. - Conduct stress tests, back tests and scenario tests and report to management. - Report daily to management on limit violations, results and positions. - Regulatory and Risk based supervision reporting. - Monitor the trading activities in the Treasury. - Internal reporting and analysis of market risk in both treasury and banking books. Credit Risk : - Responsible for handling credit analysis - industry dynamics, evaluating shareholding structure and management setup, operations and financial performance, financial modelling, risk-mitigant analysis. - Maintain compliance with internal risk policy and pricing hurdles for all deals. - Organize credit work flow so as to minimize turnaround time for new deals and manage overdues for existing files. Operational Risk: - to drive and support the identification and management of operational risks on a daily basis and a source of reference within the branch in facilitating and promoting the understanding of Operational Risk and compliance requirements and issues. - Ensure that policies are implemented effectively within branches, new regulations are properly communicated, and provide quality assurance on the design of the control measures and monitoring plans. Coordinate, analyze and consolidate Operational Risk and loss reporting to the Business Unit Head. - Design and implement control measures and monitoring plans for compliance and operational risk management. Ensure that controls are effective for compliance monitoring and risk management. - Ensure adherence to the risk management framework in identifying, controlling, monitoring and reporting of risk. - To conduct annual review of Operational Risk Management Policy and other associated frameworks such as Business Continuity Management, Outsourcing Policy, etc. - Actively participate in ongoing Technology projects and associated risks. - Prepare internal audit report and trace outstanding audit issues. - Work with various departments to strengthen internal control system &amp; improve existing practices. - Ensure all essential policy and regulatory requirements are communicated and disseminated to the relevant parties on a timely basis. - Ensure sufficient actions are undertaken to mitigate, reduce or contain the identified operational risks. Undertake and / or coordinate periodic operations monitoring (self-assessment) activities, escalating issues to operations Head. - Ensure adherence to the risk management framework in identifying, controlling, monitoring and reporting of risk. - Review reports on Branch performance on all Inspection activities against bank Policies and procedures. - Assist management in on various Risk management reporting and committee meetings. - Conduct business continuity risk management related activities including coordination for annual drills, reviewing manuals for business continuity across branches, Making India wide Business continuity practice stronger by embedding practices shared by Bank head office, India regulator and Peers in banking industry. - Oversee the development and implementation of the Bank business continuity management risk management function. - Assist in Information security risk management - track monitor and report information security incidents and ways to mitigate the same. - Liaise with RBI, Auditors, Regulatory authorities, Consultants as and when required on integrated risk matters. - Establish and modify policies and procedures related to all India branches. - Collaborate with local SMEs to ensure capturing of important risk events/issues and report to management in a timely manner. Important risk events/issues include but not limited to the following; - Serious Operation Incident, Information Leakage Incident, Cyber Attack Incident and A-Ranked Incident, Compliance Incident, Serious Litigation, Crisis Event - Risk-related organizational changes, Regulatory changes, Deterioration in Unit's credit portfolio. - Prepare and timely submission of all reports, documents pertaining to Integrated Risk management department. - Centrally monitor / manage the status of new product / business, such as condition, direction or due date, after its approval, periodic Assessment of existing products and businesses. - To carry out any other assignment given by Management/Supervisors from time to time. DESIRED SKILLS/COMPENTENCIES : - Financial modelling skills for appraisal of the viability of a project as well as financial restructuring. - Basic data mining, processing and analytical skills. - Good knowhow of banking industry enterprise wide risk procedures such as business continuity Management and information security, etc. - Inclination to understand bank internal systems and correlate the data. - Good knowledge of power point tools for better data representation in graphical formats to visually convey key messages to top management. - Good at written communication skills, able to convey results of analysis in crisp manner to top management. - Good team player. - Open to feedback and suggestions. - Good at networking and multitasking. - Innovative.
