Vice President IR & HR

Overview :


- Develops annual HR budgets for the Business unit (BU), executes the strategy, implements all HR policies and processes including Industrial Relations and partners with senior management to set business strategic directions and subsequently develop objectives and action plans for success. This position is also responsible for SBU's - Business Excellence and TQM initiatives.

- The Incumbent is accountable for managing and streamlining all HR functions incl. IR of the BU covering staffing, recruitment, placement, performance management, L&D, TQM, Health, Talent management, Employee engagement, R&R etc. to support the business processes to meet business goals, also accountable for building a talent pipeline for growth of business.

Key Responsibilities :

- Provide proactive and functional guidance and support for business planning and development initiatives that align the human resources agenda in support of key business strategies and initiatives. Optimising organisational design to increase productivity and improve business performance

- Collaboration with senior management on a broad-based and transformational talent agenda designed to attract, develop, and retain the best talent in the business. Identify and develop key talent to fill critical positions through succession planning. Support international business partners by providing the staffing practices and procedures required to acquire talent.

- Direct and coordinate the IR and compliance maters incl. administration and negotiation of collective bargaining with Unions and stakeholders (external & internal).

- Identification and Execution of Mission critical items in HR for the BU. Plan and implement annual budgets for the business, as well as ensuring cost and productivity, through analysing data and reports using HR Metrics (DDC).

- Participate in the implementation of Human Resources policies, programmes practises, and processes, as well as communication, to ensure that employees and managers understand the purpose and expectations.

- Employee reskilling and upskilling through the identification of training needs and assisting the L&D function in aligning training programs with business objectives.

- Ensures compliance with employment, benefits, insurance, safety, and other laws, regulations, and requirements.

- Responsible for providing a broad generalist service in a plant environment while addressing key industrial relations, employee engagement, management development, performance management, and culture change challenges.

Candidate :

- Telugu speaking candidate preferred.


- Master's Degree in Human Resources / MSW from a reputed institution.

- Minimum 20 to 25 years.

- Age below 50 years only.

- Currently responsible for HR for at least 3 Mfg Units and large Sales force.

- Should be responsible for HR for a minimum of 1000 permanent employees

- Experience in HRMS platforms incl. Analytical/data visualisation tools.

- Strong knowledge of contemporary HR and industrial relations, labour laws and other statutory requirements is a must.

- Proficiency in implementation HR initiatives in a large organisation is a must.

- A thorough understanding of and experience in the manufacturing sector.

- Demonstrated strong leadership, negotiation, counselling, mediation, organisation behaviour and team building skills.

- Proven track record in delivering results through team-based working.

- Effective communicator at all levels in the organization, with strong oral and written skills and a

- Proven ability to build strong working relationships, internal and external to the organization.

- Excellent stakeholder management and developing good work relationships across the organization

- Conceptual understanding of HR & IR.

- Should know all aspects of the business, the various levers, Critical success and failure factors, pain points.

- Application of how HR/IR can address those and ability to show Business impact for all HR interventions;

- Should be able to sketch out a HR road map with clear linkage to BU goals.

- Strong understanding of HR processes, Union management, IR, Org design, manpower planning, PMS, OD interventions etc.
