Vice President - Head of Transitions, Performance Management
We have a URGENT requirement of a very good candidate for the role of Vice President- Transitions, Performance Management aligned to the Banking Operations within their Captive Operations based in Chennai /Bangalore
A seasoned professional driving and managing all aspects of Transition as per the Organisation Design Model for Performance management including Business Transformation; Restructuring & Performance Enhancement; Outsourcing; Operations (for services) Operational Excellence, (Business Process Re-Engineering (BPR), Strategic Sourcing etc.
Reports To (Primary) : Head of Management Reporting
Reports To (Secondary) : Global Process Manager, Performance Management
Direct Reports : VP / AVP/Senior Managers - Transitions
Key Responsibilities :
- Explore opportunities for migration of processes/roles by building compelling cases for end to end migration from countries and Work closely with business leaders and country CFOs to augment this
- Provide SME input in the creation of the outsourcing & off shoring pipelines across different business functions
- Working with business functional leads to support the execution and implementation of project plans to transition business processes offshore
- Working with internal and external stakeholders in defining the Onshore/Offshore connect, fleshing out the Roles & Responsibilities of Onshore / Offshore roles aligning with Target Operating Model (TOM) for PM
- Leading transitions across multiple waves managing both vendor and internal staff through successful transitions
- Providing clear, concise and accurate senior management updates
- Define and publish metrics to measure success of Transition and escalate risks in timely manner
- Ensuring compliance with Bank's Operational Risk requirements throughout the project lifecycle
- Ensuring that best practices are leveraged across teams, performance is closely monitored and that issues are dealt with within the stream or escalated to senior management
- Partner with Global Process Managers and leaders to design and implement Global Standard Operating Model across areas of Performance Management and to track implementation effectiveness and gaps on a continued basis.
- Ensure that the standards of customer service provided by the function consistently met or exceed the requirements set under the Service Level Agreements agreed with the customers.
- Liaise with customers on the periodic review and re-negotiation of Service Level Agreements and any other related performance and quality measures
- Engage senior stakeholders/business CFO's to drive conversations in agreeing to deliver a shared agenda of improvements/enhancements within the Performance management space.
- Ensure an effective system of financial & operational controls are introduced, maintained and continually enhanced and that a robust BCP plan is in place.
- Ensure that all the critical performance targets/standards as agreed and defined under the Service Level Agreements are met / exceeded and contribute to the strategic development of the centre & drive FSSC collective agenda.
- Work with HR to enhance the talent / skill sets to meet the growing complexity and needs of finance..
- Evaluate options for continuously promoting forums for employee engagements and encourage employees on their creativity, learning and development.
- Contribute to transformational agenda in terms of strategic, consensus building, driving and contributing to objectives for all Global initiatives as applicable from time to time.
- Effectively lead change, manage and escalate risks arising out of transition of new processes and adhere to the policies set by the Group
- Ensure compliance of regulations, policies & requirements of the - in scope- countries and reports and raise relevant risks to delivery by effective communication.
Key Competencies & Experience :
- Strong Analytical and Strategic mindset, coupled with a thorough understanding of Performance Management.
- Experience of having led or overseen org Design agenda in an Organization of comparable scale or industry
- Ability to design processes and procedures which are continually reviewed, improved and changes communicated for effective implementation, with consensus of key leaders in the wider organization.
- Ability to understand and connect business drivers and rationale for and application of those relevant to the Performance management process.
- Significant experience of working with senior management team and of interfacing with and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Broad spectrum knowledge of System Capabilities and Application platforms for realising business objectives, including products and services, operations, and delivery.
- Capable of initiating new processes, participate in new process transitions in coordination with the Clients and internal stakeholders
- Substantial experience of banking, depth and breadth of knowledge in processes especially in the areas of Management Reporting.
- Strong ability to understand financial statements and its drivers and synthesize them into meaningful analyses as required. Develop analysis & interpretations as required to facilitate management decision making.
- A leader, a team player with the management ability and track record to secure the confidence and respect of the peers, stakeholders and the executive management team.
- Ability to culturally orient in diverse & international team environment and lead and inspire multi-disciplinary teams.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, multi task, lead through ambiguities, influence where he/she does not have direct authority & build on unstructured formative situations
Qualifications/ Skills :
- Chartered/ Cost Accountant or MBA with 15+ years of relevant finance experience in Change Management; Business Transformation; Restructuring & Performance Enhancement; Outsourcing; Operations (for services) Operational Excellence, Organisational Design, BPR, Strategic Sourcing; SCM etc.
- Strong understanding of financial industry, specifically banking products and services
- In-depth knowledge of the drivers of businesses performance and relevant key performance measures of Banking business
- Effective communication skills, including presenting and influencing senior management.
- Excellent Excel & PowerPoint skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Solid people and project management skills.
- Leadership skills and ability to influence others in decision making
- Relationship and stakeholder management skills is important
- Initiative and proactive thinking
