As the Head of Design for Hotels & Resorts at [Company Name], you will be responsible for leading the design vision and strategy for our portfolio of hotels and resorts. Leveraging your creativity, expertise, and industry knowledge, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the aesthetic and experiential elements of our properties to ensure they exceed guest expectations and align with our brand standards.

Key Responsibilities of VP & Head of Design:

- Lead the design process for upcoming resort living community having plots, villas, landscapes, developments, from conceptualization to completion, ensuring that each project reflects the brand identity, standardization, market trends, and guest preferences.

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including development, operations, and marketing teams, to understand project requirements and objectives, and translate them into innovative design concepts and solutions.

- Oversee a team of designers, architects, and consultants, providing direction, guidance, and feedback throughout the design process to ensure projects are executed to the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.

- Conduct thorough research on industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations, and incorporate relevant insights into the development of design strategies and concepts.

- Manage relationships with external design firms, vendors, and suppliers, overseeing the selection, negotiation, and procurement of materials, furnishings, and finishes for each project.

- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, building codes, and sustainability standards in all aspects of design and construction, prioritizing environmentally responsible practices and initiatives.

- Review and approve design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and renderings, to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project goals and objectives.

- Collaborate with project management teams to establish timelines, budgets, and milestones for design deliverables, and monitor progress to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.

- Provide leadership and mentorship to the design team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment, and supporting professional growth and development opportunities.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in architecture, interior design, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.

- Minimum of 15 years of experience in hospitality design, with a proven track record of successful hotel and resort projects.

- Strong design portfolio showcasing creativity, innovation, and attention to detail, with a focus on luxury and guest experience.

- Proficiency in design software and tools, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Revit.

- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.

- Thorough understanding of architectural and interior design principles, construction techniques, and industry standards.

- Knowledge of sustainability practices and principles, with a commitment to incorporating environmentally responsible design solutions.

- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and strategically to overcome design challenges.
