Group Regulatory Reporting team in Global Finance Services is responsible for the preparation and submission of regulatory compliance obligations to the regulators. It also involves the implementation of regulatory changes being introduced by regulators and driving changes to improve effectiveness and efficiency of the process. This role involves working closely with various stakeholders in understanding and implementing the new regulatory requirements, as well as ensuring delivery of regulatory compliance and other reporting obligations.

Key responsibilities will include:

As a Vice President, you will be primarily responsible for the following:

- Keeping up to date with ongoing regulatory changes impacting Group Regulatory Reporting teams

- Understanding the rules, interpretations and assumptions around regulatory requirements in Liquidity Regulatory reporting

- Reviewing the ongoing regulatory developments and assisting with interpreting and communicating changes to regulatory requirements

- Understanding operational risks and setting up a control framework as per the internal risk management policies and guidelines

- Ensure adherence to Regulator prescribed standards and timelines on reporting requirements for Macquarie Group entities.

- Manage change management (including communicating changes, facilitate trainings)

- Creating a progressive environment to adopt change and new technologies

- Effective engagement with stakeholders in various geographies; managing the relationship at leadership levels, and providing timely/accurate operational updates and issue resolution

- Supporting global reporting automation initiatives, IT system changes required for regulatory reporting submissions

- Identifying areas for process improvement / efficiency, and drive process enhancements

- Managing senior stakeholders' expectations and provide timely updates on issues/ escalations.

- Leading and coaching your team, particularly on aspects of financial control, regulatory compliances and attention to detail

- Assigned team engaged in preparation of regulatory returns for the various regulated entities

- Developing strategy and vision for the team to take up ownership of risks inherent in reporting

- Ensuring knowledge is shared with resources via cross training and team learning

- Developing relationships with key members of Group Treasury, Finance and business unit finance teams

- Aligning your unit's performance and efforts to the GFS wide strategy and outlook

- Support senior stakeholders across regions in initiatives related to GRR and organisation

About you:

Technical skills and business knowledge:

- Postgraduate/ professional accounting qualification, such as M.Com. MBA Finance, CA, CPA

- Strong numerical and abstract reasoning skills

- Basel knowledge and experience (preferable). Sound knowledge of the Financial/Banking Services industry, products & Shared Services operating models.

- Experience of dealing with regulators and interpreting new regulations

- A high degree of comfort in dealing with information technology

- Very strong MS Office Skills

- Willingness to travel overseas and work in different time zones to support clients

- Knowledge of Power BI, Alteryx and experience of financial products and interest in financial markets will be an added advantage

- Leadership skills

- Strong facilitation, oral and written communication skills. Effective presentation skills

Experience: 10 to 12 years of post-qualification relevant experience
