Vice President/Group Head - Taxation - Agri Solutions - CA (7-15 yrs)

We are approaching you for the above mentioned role in Star Agri. The Group Star Agri is one of Asia's leading post harvest solutions companies, focused on empowering farmers. In 2014, Temasek Holdings invested Rs. 250 crore for a significant minority stake in the company. StarAgri received a strategic equity investment of Rs. 150 crore from IDFC Private Equity in 2012 for a significant minority stake in the company. Star Agri deals in business of Collateral Management, Star Laboratories, Warehousing, Agri Export, Logistics, Private Mandi. Star Agri have a Group of Company - Farmer Fortune India Ltd- Dealing in commodity Trade and Procurement. StarAgri Infrastructure- Dealing in construction of Warehouses and Silos. Star Agri Finance- NBFC for Agri Loans.

They have position open for Group Taxation Head out of Andheri East. This position will be handling taxation matter at group level and he/she would have 4-5 direct reportees

Designation : Vice President

Role : Group Taxation Head

Location : Mumbai

Reporting to : CFO

JD :

1. Handle GST Compliance, Direct Tax including Corporate Tax, TDS;

2. Reviewing existing agreements, procedures and suggest changes to optimize GST incidence

3. Tax planning and availing different exemptions/deductions under provisions of Income tax law; Computing Minimum Alternate Tax (if applicable) and tax working and payments

4. Preparation, review and submission of tax returns and related statutory financial statements; Preparing Deferred tax working

5. Relationship building with consultants and tax departments for smooth working

6. Handling tax audits

7. Design and recommend changes in IT system for smooth compliance of direct and Indirect taxes

8. Reconciliation various tax GL and they represent correct picture in financial statements (Transaction processing is handled by Group shared services)

9. exposure to the business processes with ability to point out clearly any specific compliance & reporting requirement, suggest corrective actions based on gap analysis

10. Tax related MIS & database maintenance

Must have :

1. CA

2. Knowledge and strong experience into handling both Direct & indirect taxation

3. Handled all tax related compliance and litigation matters related to that with respect to any notices received

4. Very proactive and should have dealt promptly on all matter, self-initiator
