Position Summary:

- This is a senior role in the India Asset Management leadership team, part of the Asset Management COO team and reports to the Head of AssetManagement India.

- The role is responsible for driving the on-going development and maturity of the India operations, including supporting planning, organization and direction of the India center and driving operational excellence in the India Practice.

- This individual will be responsible for partnering with the India and COO leadership team to enhance the Global Operating model. In addition, this role will be responsible for providing leadership and guidance to both within the broader NTAM India Practice, overseeing staff and other significant resources for the business unit, and exercising budget and administrative control over planning and project management.

- Displaying a balanced, cross-functional perspective, liaising with the business teams to improve efficiency and scale, driving adoption of future focused skills, will be key to driving a shared vision of success and business outcomes.

Principal Responsibilities:

- Provide organizational oversight in developing India/Business Unit specific strategic plans and follow through to ensure objectives are met

- Ensure cross functional alignment in India and other NTAM locations to influence resources necessary for meeting the India deliverables

- Identify opportunities for operational excellence in the practices

- Opportunity to incubate one or more practices and contribute to the achievement of business objectives.

- Drive establishment of performance objectives in line with business priorities/OKRs

- Collaborate with COO leadership team to devise and operationalize KPIs to measure progress of the Global COO team to its internal/external stakeholders seeking delivery channels that promote ease of access anywhere/anytime such as in Power BI cloud

- Lead strategic projects as directed by the NTAM India Head/COO from ideation to sustainable and successful delivery and robust reporting and governance

- Responsible for the coordination of space and location strategy across the India center and ensuring real estate deployment is efficient and effective

- Partner with various corporate units on the development of programs, policies and practices, and corporate/administration services to enhance overall effectiveness of the India center

- Support cross-business unit transformation initiatives.

- Provide oversight of the India budget and drive execution of planning processes.

- Comply with the regulatory regime within which Northern Trust India operates and observe proper standards of market, business and personal conduct, demonstrating integrity in the execution of duties.

- Ensure NTAM India meets its operational and legal obligations to other Northern Trust offices and to NT clients.

- Foster an environment which encourages ownership, excellence, employee engagement, teamwork and communication.

- Manage human resource and capacity planning. Develop strategies to attract, retain and grow talent.

- Involved in maintaining a robust risk and control environment capable of withstanding scrutiny from Internal Audit and other client and regulatory due diligence exercises.

- Produce management reporting for operational activities which focuses on people, processes, initiatives and delivery.

- Responsible for the development and execution of the team's strategic plans, goals and priorities and ensures they are consistent with those of the wider NTAM business.

- Play a key leadership role and contribute to the management, growth and success of the India office

- Build strong and effective relationships with each of our stakeholders in EMEA, North American and APAC to identify solutions to meet client needs or appropriate actions to address client issues.

- Lead and participate in cross-jurisdictional initiatives to implement best practices and improve the performance of operations.

- Represent NTAM India in key leadership forums in NOS India, APAC region and globally.
