Position Overview
A large fund house is looking for a head to manage their infra focused fund to be deployed in infra projects. Ideal candidate would be from bank/NBFC/large infra groups/infra focused funds with minimum 10 years in dealing with infra projects like road, power, airports, in India.
Should be adept with Indian investment and regulatory scenario and hand-on in dealing with all stakeholders.
As a key member, he/she would assist on all strategic and tactical matters, including but not restricted to, new fund deployment opportunities, M&A space updates, sectorial advocacy at highest levels, as well as, ensures necessary and effective controls and procedures remain in place to safeguard all assets and resources.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Adherence to fund mandate and periodic reviews/management presentations: Help meet growth goals to support the decision-making process. Help define boundaries around already defined processes, proactively.
- Numbers savvy, eye for details, a doer, and self-driven. Should be a leader to pave way and work with a young team with full responsibility.
- Management/Leadership oversight of the finance/mgmt function.
- Responsible for driving internal financial control strategy implementation, including ensuring consistency and compliance with guidelines.
- Define the company's financial strategy (Controllership, Treasury, Taxation, Internal Audit & Compliance, Investor relations) in alignment with business objectives.
- Responsible for budgeting, forecasting and business planning.

- Providing leadership, direction and management to the finance and accounting team.
- Providing strategic recommendations to the CEO/president.
- Managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting.
- Advising on long-term business and financial planning.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- CA/MBA with 12 or more years of experience.
- Experience in a new age startup firm is preferable.
- At least 12-15 years' experience in the finance industry and managing a team is a must - with examples of when they have demonstrated excellence in the workplace.
- Demonstrates strong leadership, communication, and persuasion skills.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Assertive, confident and potential to build team and processes.
