Vice President - Financial Controller - Investment Bank

We are hiring financial controllers for a leading investment bank in Bangalore. we are fine looking at product controllers for the position.

Role Description - Summary

The successful candidate will join a growing Financial Control team in Bangalore. Team members execute their responsibilities across a global network. They are expected to approach their work with a control mindset, understand the business and processes and challenge and improve the status quo.

There is an established team of fourteen staff performing daily and month end reconciliations. They control the ledger for futures and options for businesses including Global Markets Listed Derivatives, Global Rates and Global Credit.

Responsibilities / Tasks:

The successful candidate will be manage Financial Control staff whose responsibilities include:

- Product accounting for listed derivative products (futures and options)

- Reconciling and reporting the trading accounts and financial accounts for the Global Markets Listed Derivatives Business

- Analytical review of the trading balance sheet and profit and loss accounts

- FX exposure management, sell-off and reporting

- Bespoke accounting entries, e.g. German GAAP and structured trades

- Management reporting of key performance indicators and key risk indicators

- Substantiating the trading balance Sheet

- Regulatory accounting submissions & disclosure

- Supporting new product approval process

Experience / Exposure:

- Relevant experience in Financial Control, Product Control or related function

- Business or mathematical based degree with professional accounting qualification

- Problem solving and analytical skills

- Strong leadership and management skills, able to work in virtual global teams and in a matrix organization

- Previous exposure to senior level decision-makers and stakeholders and strong Stakeholder Management skills

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English language)

Education / Certification/ Skills:

- Degree level and/or relevant practical experience
